YOUR TALENTS AND YOUR DESTINY

Please refuse to give up because you have experienced any form of failure, God will never judge you by your failure but by your determinations after experiencing failure. In God’s eyes, and in His unfailing design and unparalleled desires, there are still great opportunities waiting for you in this very life. God will always restore failures that come to Him in faith, in hope, fixing all their eyes on Him, and relying on Him for their next move in life. If failure had been a determining factor in a man’s destiny in life, Peter would never have been an apostle of Jesus Christ talk less of being made the leader of other apostles who were more educated, wealthy and exposed in life than him. Christ met him at his lowest level in life when his confidence was destroyed by his failure when his self-esteem was at the lowest level and his hope of meeting the needs of his family and his own personal needs and desires were completely lost. Paul was a professional in his business; he was gifted in the act and knew the right times, the right seasons, and the right place where to carry out his activities; but despite what he knew and perfected for years, at that moment of having nothing after all the preparation and expectations, he was a failure.

What Paul needed at the time of his failure was not his gift but divine wisdom and unfortunately the divine wisdom that will make a difference in trying times does not come through learning or past experiences, it can only come from the Almighty God who alone made you and all things, who knows all things and gave you gifts and who alone has the power to sustain you all things that He had made. While God had made all of us and given us free distinctive gifts to help us have better desirable lives and be a success, He also wants us to have talents, and develop the talents to the extent that we will be distinguished and thereby reach the fullness of the destiny He had designed and destined for us. Talent is the ability to enhance whatever gift God had given to us beyond the ordinary level that others with the same gift are operating; that is where wisdom is indispensable and James advised if anyone lack wisdom, not the gift, let him ask God who is the custodian of wisdom. “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraided not, and it shall be given him. And let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” James 1:4-6.

Talent is developed after gift had been discovered, know and you have the desire to take that gift to the next level; talent is a product of the application of wisdom, and remember that wisdom that will open up the doors to your destiny in life is also one of the gifts of the Spirit of God. Talents enable us to excel in the area we are gifted; the development and use of talent elevate our gift and our lives; expands our gift and multiplies the gains we make by the gift. Both spiritual and physical gifts and talents can adequately be enhanced through proper education, exposure to reals experiences, knowledge of what the gift and talent require to grow; wisdom in their uses, and following principles that are laid down in the scriptures by others.

Divine talents will enable us to appropriately use your gift to fulfill the plans and purpose of God for our lives thereby fulfilling our destiny. It is good to know for certain that your destiny is not defined by your gift but your gift can affect your destiny. Your destiny is not defined by your talents, but the use of your talents can affect your destiny, but when we are totally submitted to God in all things as Peter and Paul did even in their times of strength, weakness, failures, and lack of hope, God will use everything we have, everything we are exposed to in life, everything we know and everything we do to redirect our path so that we can accomplish His desires and thereby fulfill our destinies. Irrespective of intelligence, knowledge, wisdom and the exceptional understanding of men, the word of God concerning you cannot be faulted though it can be denied and resisted, disrespected, discarded, misused, misunderstood and trampled upon.
