THEY CALL YOU NAMES?

The consisted perfection of good deeds and words from any man are a direct reflection of a deliberate heart meditation. Every where you turn to in the world today, irrespective of your religious faith and belief, you will hear and see lots and lots of things seeking to influence your thought and action, it is your what you ultimately decision to give yourself to, that will affect your life thereafter. Everything that goes into the hearts of men are powerful enough to bring either a positive individual change that will glorify God, or a negative change that is interested only in self and hunts others irrespective of their effect.

People will always be what they want to be except they give themselves to the Spirit of God to always direct them away from evil. But despite others, there are lots to do to keep yourself faithful to the God you know, trust and belief. When your ears and heart are given to the words of God, your heart and eyes will be focused on the things they will create in your life irrespective of the prevailing circumstances, the names people call you and the words they use against you. But when your ears are open to the conflicting words of men about you, you will hear abuses and names that does not truly represent what you are or intend to be irrespective of what you have done in the past to please the people. Ecclesiastes 7:21-22 gave this advice; “Take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee: For oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.”

If Christ Jesus who was sinless and perfect in all things, who came to save the world from the power of sin and the devil was called names, how much less we today? But despite those names, Christ Jesus fulfilled His mission gloriously. Despite the names people have called you, by God's grace you will fulfill all that God had set for you to fulfill. Give God your ears and hearts

In the days of Job's trouble, he was greatly afflicted by the devil, insulted and called ugly names he never had before by men. But despite all, his hope was in the God he knew, trusted and served. He said “And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword. They abhor me, they flee far from me, and spare not to spit in my face. Because he hath loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also let loose the bridle before me. Upon my right hand rise the youth; they push away my feet, and they raise up against me the ways of their destruction. They mar my path, they set forward my calamity, they have no helper. They came upon me as a wide breaking in of waters: in the desolation they rolled themselves upon me. Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my welfare passeth away as a cloud.” Job 30:9-15

Rather than give his heart to the words of men, Job cried to God for help. He reminded God of his good deeds to the same people who afflict him. “Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved for the poor? When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness.” Job 30:25-26

The names that you are called will not prevent God from blessing you if you continuously give God your ear and your heart. Names did not prevent Christ from being raised from the grave and taken to heaven. The afflictions of the devil and the names people called Job did not prevent God from healing and restoring him at the end. God had not forgotten your name despite what people say of you, He has not given His ears to the evil words and names people are calling you now. Your portion in Him are well preserved in His will for you. Keep your ears on His words and you hearts on meditating therein, then your eyes will see, and your hands will handle the blessing of the Lord in the land of the living. God is able to do what men cannot do for you, what men think are impossible for you to achieve are not impossible for your God to do for you. God will call you by your name.
