TESTED AND STANDING

“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil” Matthew 4:1

“And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham” Genesis 22:1

Every success, every promotion, every blessing, every good relationship and every addition that you will ever expect or receive will come with a test. And you are required by God, through His immersed love and grace for you to pass every test either simple or tough.  Every one of us is tested or tempted every day irrespective of our religious beliefs.

While test are not desirable in any way, they are quite necessary to determine our qualification for the next upward movement.

God desires to move us up while the devil desires to keep us from progressing.  God desires to bless us while the devil desires to take the blessing from us.  God desires to multiply us while the devil desires to see us run-out of supply.  Because of this spiritual conflict going on in our lives unaware, we are tested almost everyday in everything.

This test comes in different ways to different people, using almost everyone even our very best friends and everything around us for this exercise.

While God desires us to pass the test as His beloved children, the devil desires us to be failures because he hates us.

There are numerous advantages in testing and if we refuse to be tested, we will also refuse to be certified for the glory. These are the advantages:

1.) Testing seeks to prove our capability not our incapability.  2.) Testing seeks to approve us for the coming blessings not to deny us the blessing.  3.) It seeks to identify and distinguish us from the crowd thereby certifying us fit to wear the crown.

Every test from God is to humble us so we will be approved.  Every chastisement from God is to correct us rather than put us to shame.  Every rebuke from God is to equip us not to deprive us.

Don’t think that you are only tested to fail; you are tested so you can be proven right and crowned with the glory that awaits you.

As a believer, everything about you and for you will be tested. Your faith, your words, your character, your attitude, your reaction provocations, denials, and delays are all tests you must pass. Remember, in all things that will enhance your life for His glory, Christ is willing to give you the victory and the crown when you pass the test.

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body” 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

Abraham, David, Job Daniel, Paul and Peter can confidently say they were tested. Judas Iscariot will shamefully say that he was tested and failed.

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it”. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Stand up to that test, for with God you will be victorious and qualified for the blessings. Don’t give up, don’t let the devil make you a failure, God is by you right now to help you pass through this test unharmed. Remember, we are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.  You are being tested not because of your past but because of your future

When you refuse to be tested, you will embrace stagnation.
