“Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in union with Him, reflecting His character in the things you do and say, living lives that lead others away from sin, having been deeply rooted in Him and now being continually built up in Him and becoming increasingly more established in your faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing in it with gratitude. See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, pseudo-intellectual babble, according to the tradition of mere men, following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following the truth, the teachings of Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity, the Godhead dwells in bodily form completely expressing the divine essence of God. And in Him you have been made complete, achieving spiritual stature through Christ, and He is the head over all rule and authority of every angelic and earthly power. In Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but by the spiritual circumcision of Christ in the stripping off of the body of the flesh, the sinful carnal nature, having been buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him to a new life through your faith in the working of God, as displayed when He raised Christ from the dead. When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, worldliness, manner of life, God made you alive together with Christ, having freely forgiven us all our sins, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of legal demands which were in force against us and which were hostile to us. And this certificate He has set aside and completely removed by nailing it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, those supernatural forces of evil operating against us, He made a public example of them exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession, having triumphed over them through the cross.” Colossians 26-15

Stand up and stand strong in Christ Jesus; stand up for Jesus Christ and be faithful to His words in all that you do; stand up in His truth in your words, thoughts and knowledge and know that your maker and your redeemer Jesus Christ is with you in all things, at all times, in all locations and in all of your situations. You are complete in Him, He will not lead you to emptiness and He will not lead you to destruction. He will lead you to victory and He will give you the grace to be where He had destined for you despite the prevailing circumstances. Christ Jesus is for you, and He will be for and with you forever. The power of His forgiveness is life changing, restoring joy and hope, making ways and leading the way. His grace had been given to you and it is unending and His love is life living. You have accepted Him and He had accepted you to be His and He will keep and protect you in His power till you see and testify of His goodness. “The blessing of the Lord brings true riches, and He adds no sorrow to it for it comes as a blessing from God” Proverbs 10:22

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, you soldiers of the cross, lift high his royal banner, it must not suffer loss: from victory on to victory His army he shall lead till evil is defeated and Christ is Lord indeed. Stand up, stand up for Jesus; the trumpet-call obey; join the mighty conflict in this his glorious day: be strong in faith and serve Him against unnumbered foes; let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose. Stand up, stand up for Jesus; stand in His power alone for human might will fail you, you dare not trust your own: put on the gospel armor, keep watch with constant prayer; where duty calls or danger be never failing there. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the fight will not be long; this day the noise of battle, the next the victor's song: to everyone who conquers, a crown of life shall be; we, with the king of glory, shall reign eternally.

Pastor George Duffield Jr. composed this hymn in 1858 and it is still impacting the souls and hearts of those who are called according to God’s purpose who are earnestly looking unto Christ Jesus for the fulfillment of His promises in their lives. Prayer Request Click here
