KEEP ON ASKING, THERE IS HOPE

“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God” John 16:23-27

There will be no one suffering from any kind of illness, no failure, no fear, no anger, no jealousy, no enemy and no lack in heaven, and there will be no reason for asking for anything. But while we remain on earth, we will always have numerous needs, insufficiency and the desires to move on to better ground in life, and must keep asking. Asking self, asking God and asking others. There is certainly no crime and no shame in asking. The opportunity to get over those desires, insufficiency, and needs are all taken care of in the power of God’s promises, and we are commanded by Him never to stop asking. The ones that are very necessary and we could not overcome by our strength and work, we lay them before God through asking in prayer.

God is willing to fill all the gaps of our misfortune, fears, mistreatment and disappointments when we express them to Him through our humility in asking by faith. When you come to the Lord, there are two things that should be paramount in your heart thereafter. Serving Him and serving others. If you cannot serve Him, you will not be able to serve others, and if you cannot serve others, you will not be able to serve Him satisfactorily. Every mission of God is to bring men out of obscurity to God’s destined plans and purposes.

To serve God is to know Him, and to desire to know Him more every day, and serving man is taking from God and giving to man. Taking from God involves asking in humility. God is willing to give to us when we ask. He is willing to direct us when we ask, He is willing to guide us when we ask, He is willing to deliver us when we ask, and the promise is, He will give us whatever we ask the Father in His name. This is the open door to the greatest opportunity any one will ever offer us in life.

What you ask in prayer matters. The promise to grant according to your asking is effective and binding. The underlining word here is to keep asking, never discouraged, never distracted, and never frustrated. Asking involves many things; patience with self and God, God’s plans and you plans; God’s desires and your desires, self-pride, emulation, submissive, discipline, purpose, focus, thoughts and action. There is nothing He cannot do, and there is nothing He will not do to His children. Irrespective of what the devil had done, or will ever do to you, you still remain very valuable before Him. God will never look at you according to what the devil had done, but according to His divine love for you. I see the full restoration of your joy, peace and grace. You are at the brink of a total turn around; the drum of your celebration will sound out loud again.

“Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking reverently and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, the door will be opened. Or what man is there of you, if his son asks him for a loaf of bread, will hand him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will hand him a serpent? If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven, perfect as He is, give good and advantageous things to those who keep on asking Him” Matthew 7:7-11

God will grant you good things and place you on an advantageous position to declare His glory.
