IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR GOD TO DO? (01)

The are many promises of God to us in the bible that are laughable when we look at what, who, and where we are in life; when we look at our age and our present knowledge; when we consider who and what we know concerning that matter; when we look at our finances remembering what we don’t have now or have lost pursuing a vision, a dream, and a desire; when we remember all the delays, disappointments and frustrations we have experienced; when we look at what others have in abundance even without much labor or trusting God; when we know we cannot reach that promised level due to circumstances that we do know. There are many promises that when we look at ourselves, our knowledge and the people around us, we conclude that will be impossible to be where the promise and what the promise had said. Yet in all things, irrespective of our location, profession, gender or age, God still ask us what do we think, what do we know, and what have we concluded in our mind and reasoning that is impossible or too hard for Him to for us in this present life that we are living now and beyond.

I have read and seen God do amazing things for people; I have seen Him do impossible things that no one could think of: I have seen Him do the unexpected and the expected, and above all, I have seen God change situations that no one believed or ever think will ever change. God wants us to believe Him in good times and in bad times, to believe His words at all seasons, He wants us to sing psalms of praise to Him not only when it is good for and with us but when we also feel down, disappointed and humiliated. He is the God of all seasons.

I want you to know that there are things that God had promised us that we will not be able to do or see, yet the God who had promised can and will do them for us if we will put our trust in Him while holding onto and believing in that promise remembering that He who had promise is capable of doing them. In pursuing a promise and a desire, Abraham and Sarah did all they could possibly do, spend all they could spend, consult those they could and asked all the questions they could, they took all the medications recommended and all the advises offered by men yet they had no success and unknown to them, it was God himself who will do that for them at His appointed time and it was so. “The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day. Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground. He said, if I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by. Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree. Let me get you something to eat, so you can be refreshed and then go on your way now that you have come to your servant. Very well, they answered, do as you say. So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. Quick, he said, get three seahs of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread. Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it. He then brought some curds and milk and the calf that had been prepared and set these before them. While they ate, he stood near them under a tree. Where is your wife Sarah? they asked him. There, in the tent, he said. Then one of them said, I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son. Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him. Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing. So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, after I am worn out and my lord is old, will I now have this pleasure? Then the Lord said to Abraham, why did Sarah laugh and say, will I really have a child, now that I am old? Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son. Sarah was afraid, so she lied and said, I did not laugh. But he said, yes, you did laugh.” Genesis 18:1-15.
