OH MY DEAR LORD, WHERE IS YOUR HELP? (2)

Post date: Oct 19, 2018 3:46:48 AM

When David was in the forest, abandoned and forgotten by father and mother, in His loneliness and isolation, You Oh Lord God sent help and rescued him and made him the king. You sent Samuel to his parent’s house to anoint him in the presence of all his family members as Your chosen King over Israel after rejecting Saul; You told Samuel You have found a man David who is after Your own heart; a man who will obey You and seek You and keep You as His source of strength; You told Samuel to stop murning for Saul; You sent words of comfort and courage to David; You lifted his joy above his circumstances; You gave him reasons to rejoice beyond his hopes and expectations; you made him forget his past days and You made him see his future in your actions; You ordered his steps thereafter and perfected his steps; Yu gave him victory over the lions and the wild animals in the forest; You took him to the palace to be with King Saul; You gave him protection when Saul wanted to kill him; His gave him victory over Golliath and You announced him name thereafter and established him as King as You had designed, destined and planned for him; Oh dear Lord, where is Your help for me? As You dear Lord helped David in all things, please help me now, help me today and do not delay again.

David gave us these words of advice in the scripture concerning himself, his actions, trust and how and what God did for him: “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the refuge and fortress of my life, whom shall I dread? When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell. Though an army encamps against me, my heart will not fear; though wars arise against me, even in this I am confident. One thing I have asked of the Lord, and that I will seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord in His presence all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty, the delightful loveliness and majestic grandeur of the Lord and to meditate in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, in His tent, I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; be gracious and compassionate to me and answer me. When You said, Seek My face in prayer, require My presence as your greatest need, my heart said to You, Your face, O Lord, I will seek on the authority of Your word. Do not hide Your face from me, do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; do not abandon me nor leave me, O God of my salvation. Although my father and my mother have abandoned me, yet the Lord will take me up, adopt me as His child. Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me on a level path

because of my enemies who lie in wait. Do not give me up to the will of my adversaries, for false witnesses have come against me; they breathe out violence. I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.” Psalm 27:1-14

David was helped, promoted, favored, lifted up, established, and strengthen beyond all the help anyone could offer; he was chosen and anointed king beyond his best wishes and the expectations of his family member; he was recognized by God and accepted by men; he was defended and protected against the evil plans of men. Beyond the expectations of his parents, all of his brothers and family members, David’s recognition, promotion, elevation, anointing, and progress was now irreversible by any man or forces of darkness. God used him for his glory and gave him able men to help him throughout his days. Oh, my dear Lord, David was a man like us, as You did for David, do also for us, do also for me, do also for the people with me; let Your help and Your blessings be irreversible in my life my dear Lord.
