“Then You spoke in a vision to Your holy one, and said, I have given help to one who is mighty, I have exalted one chosen from the people. I have found My servant David; with My holy oil I have anointed him, with whom My hand shall be established; Also My arm shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not outwit him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him. I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him. But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him, and in My name, his horn shall be exalted. Also, I will set his hand over the sea, and his right hand over the rivers. He shall cry to Me, You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation. Also, I will make him My firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. My mercy I will keep for him forever, and My covenant shall stand firm with him. His seed also I will make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.” Psalm 89:19-29

God will not break His covenant neither will He abandon it nor forsake His word or the people He had saved by His power. Those He had saved, He has chosen; those He chooses, He will defend by His power, and He will establish them as the days of heaven. They shall reign with Him on earth and be glorified with Him in their activities. God wants you to be prepared for the time He had said in His covenant and words concerning you. Prepare for the year of the fullness of His covenant power with you even when you have not known the terms of that covenant. God will take you to the place, to the throne, and establish you where he had destined despite your present location and situation. David did not begin praising or thanking God after he was anointed by Samuel, he started long before then while still in the bush keeping sheep and unrecognized by anyone. Nobody outside the family knew David until the day God recognized and acknowledges him before Samuel. Before then, his family had no hope in his growing up to be of any influence neither did they think or know he will be of any relevance in the family in the future. But God in His faithfulness knew better than they did and did what they never imagined. Long before he was recognized and acknowledged by God, David prepared his heart, his hands, and his mind to give praises and thanks to God and he truly did. God also in return blessed him beyond measures in and with all things. There will always be a return and a response from heaven when you give God the praise and thanks He deserves despite what you are and where you are.

David led Isreal to become the greatest, the richest, and greatest country by acknowledging and praising God with thanksgiving on earth in his time. He began by a personal determination to be a man of praise and thanks to God when he was nothing even in his own family. I want to assure you that even in times of uncertainties, fears, confusion, lack, sickness, and despair in your life and situation, there is hope for you in and through Christ Jesus. God is our hope, He is the future in our today; He is our strength and helper. He will establish you. He will do what men cannot do despite who, what, and where they are. God will establish you with His beauty in His destined location, position, and profession for you. Being thankful does not mean you have all your needs, it does not mean you have no lacks, it does not mean you do not have issues to deal with, and it does not mean you are free from the wicked plans and thought of the enemies. It means you are grateful for what you are now in Christ and for what you are expecting as you praise Him as we see in the determination of David. David declared: “I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the Lord, He is most worthy of praise, no one can measure His greatness. Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor, and your wonderful miracles. Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness. Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; Psalms 145:1-7. For prayers, Click here
