A CHANCE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE

“And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they lose him. And certain of them that stood there said unto them, what do ye, losing the colt? And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go”. Mark 11:4-6

There are things in life we cannot avoid, and one of them is being challenged. Everyone (rich, poor, believers, unbelievers) are challenged every day. What you do with it can change your lives either way.  While the devil lures us to commit sin through these challenges and fall, God wants us to take advantage of it and rise. One fact about challenges is that it seeks to reveal and to prove who we are. In it, we can either rise above what we are today or go below, but if our desire is to go above, then we will have to deal with the challenges adequately instead of avoiding them.

Note that challenges are not problems and problems are not challenges.

Problem drowns the dreams and visions of believers, while challenges empower the believer to fulfill those dreams and visions.  Problems rob believers of their rights while challenges point them to their rights, and help to explore appropriate means of getting them.  Problems tend to blame others for all plights, while challenges expose us to those who will rightly help us rather than use us.  Problems hinder our thoughts while challenges enhance them.  Problems seek to make us inferior and stupid, but facing challenges the right way will prove how wise we are, and get us to the next exciting level in life.  Problem generates fear, while challenge explores opportunity.  Problem magnifies hate and encourages disunity, while challenge brings love and cooperation with others.  In problem we sink, in challenges we rise.  In problem we disagree, in challenge we agree.

When problem becomes a challenge, your ability to think right will be enhanced and your vision and method of prevailing will be clearer each moment of the day. But when challenge becomes a problem, you will diminish your chances of victory and will forever remain in deep bitterness with yourself and with everyone around you.

Gold though very precious is less admired and with little usefulness in its raw form. But once it is refined, its admiration, usefulness and value increases greatly. Apostle Paul compared the everyday Christian challenges to the refining of gold. Irrespective of the challenges we experience, we should always be found in the attitude of praise and glory to God instead of being in hate and bitterness with one another.

“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.” I Peter 1:7

Ignoring your challenges will keep you from going forward and generate inner bitterness. It will also open the door for the devil to implements for his scripted purpose of evil and hate in your life.

Take advantage of those challenges today by insisting on the truth in Christ Jesus as the two disciples did in the book of Mark 11:6 and Instead of going back empty and sad, you will go back fulfilled and rejoicing.

You can decide not to go back empty and sad; you can decide not to feel rejected and unaccomplished. Take advantage of the situation, act and repeat to yourself and to those who might want to see and hear what God says and plans for you in your challenges.
