JUST  REMEMBER  HIS NAME – JESUS CHRIST (2)

“These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” John 15:11. That your joy may be full, that is the ultimate, that is the reason, that is all we need, and that is why we are Christians, believers, followers of the gospel, and that is why we trust Him and remain faithful to God. Jesus Christ was sent by God the Father into the world, He came to restore the world back to the Father, to restore the peace we lost through our willing and our unwilling mistakes, disobedience, sin, and pride. He came to restore our hope for the future, to restore our joy now and in the future, to restore our strength and ability, to restore our faith and strengthen our faithfulness, and to restore all the provisions we lost through sin to temptation and to Satan. Jesus Christ spent time to teach His disciples about the acceptable way to the Father and when He was about to leave the world, He told them the reason for His actions and teachings – that their joy may be full as the joy of His presence was with them, and that joy may remain.

When Jesus Christ was leaving the world, He did not give His disciples or any man His garments or sandals or crowns or anything as a reminder of Himself. All He left behind for all men was His name, and we are always encouraged at all times and in all situations to remember His name, to recall His name, and to use His name. There is nothing and there will never be anything else under the heaven or on earth or beneath the earth that is or will be above His name. “In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus, who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:5-11. His name is effective everywhere and in every situation. There are no restrictions attached, use it with all sincerity of purpose, believe it with all your heart, trust it and walk with it always and everywhere.

The Name of our Lord Jesus Christ is given to us to use, to believe and to remember at all times. Christ came into the world to show us the way and He left the world to prepare a better place for us, but while we are still here, He left His word, His Spirit, and His name with us.

There is ultimate power in the Name of Jesus Christ, there is total healing in that Name, there is salvation in that name, there are forgiveness and restoration in that name, there are deliverance and joy in that name, and there are miracles as we trust, believe, and use that name. “And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come, and hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all.” Ephesians 1:19-23

One of the greatest gifts from God that we have after the forgiveness of our sin, our salvation, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God in us is not the blessings we receive or the speaking in new tongues or the power to work miracles, it is the name of our Savior Jesus Christ. The only name that changes all situations and people and places, the name that Satan trembles and fears at all times, the name that gives us boldness to confront Satan and his men and the name that gives us confidence that we will overcome, we will live and that we will see God when we truly believe. “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12.
