A PROMISED PLACE AND TIME OF REST

Your struggles in life must not, and should not be indefinite; there is a place and time of rest for you despite the odds you face each day. Despite the confusion in almost everything in the world today, despite the lack of trust in almost every human relationship, despite the lack of genuine and committed friends, despite the humiliations and pains from shameful abuses, excessively prolonged and annoying loneliness, doubts of what tomorrow might offer after escaping the wicked traps of today; despite the failures in reaching your set goals in life after many years of planning, dreaming, desiring and struggling; there is definitely a set place of rest for you, and by God’s grace, He will take you there, you will reach that place of rest in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus said “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.” Matthew 11:28

Many today desires this place, and many are ready to pay the premium physical price to get there, but unfortunately, this place cannot be bought with money, cannot be attained through strength, through any amount of structural dedicated thoughts, quiet and composed meditations and weeping. No amount of money, no amount of self-pity, no amount of self-condemnation, and no amount of self-discipline can guarantee this place for you. This is a place where only God alone rules, a place of self-surrender in obedience, a place of complete acceptance and less resistance to every of His words. It is attained only by accepting and believing God alone.

It is a place you can put your hope and trust on, a place that is far beyond and above every other place on earth irrespective of the powers of darkness hovering around your dreams and desires, and irrespective of the intents of the devil against you. I will desire and pray that you refuse to take your rest at your present point of fears, troubles, defeat and discomfort, I desire you refuse to settle scores with the devil in anything and for any price. I desire and pray you take your rest in nothing less but in the written and spoken word of the Almighty God concerning everything about your marriage, your spouse, children, family, job, your dreams and your struggles.

The right place to take your rest in any matter under the sun is in the word of God where you have been graciously and deliberately assured of total relief, complete defense, restoration, and daily refreshing. If the word of God cannot give you the rest and the peace you deserve, deliver you from any form of oppression, depression and frustration, then nothing else can. There is enough power in every word of God to give you the rest you deserve. Trust in all His words.

“Wait and listen, everyone who is thirsty. Come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come; buy priceless, spiritual wine and milk without money and without price simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your earnings for what does not satisfy? Hearken diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness, the profuseness of spiritual joy. Incline your ear, submit and consent to the divine will and come to Me; hear, and your soul will revive; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercy, kindness, goodwill, and compassion promised to David. Behold, I have appointed him to be a witness, one who shall testify of salvation to the nations, a prince and commander to the peoples. Behold, you shall call nations that you know not, and nations that do not know you shall run to you because of the Lord your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for He has glorified you. Seek, inquire for, and require the Lord while He may be found, claiming Him by necessity and by right, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have love, pity, and mercy for him, and to our God, for He will multiply to him His abundant pardon. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord.” Isaiah 55:1-8. For Prayer Click here
