RIGHT DESIRES, WRONG JUDGMENT

Post date: Apr 11, 2016 1:07:31 AM

In whatever situation you may be in life, keep your desires right according to His promises and seek to act right according to the instructions in His word. Though Sarah was wrong a thousand times over and Abraham followed in her wrongs, but God was still very faithful in keeping His spoken words to them; He was still very committed to fulfilling all His promises to them; was always very forgiving to every of their mistakes. The mistakes that Sarah did were not deliberate; were not targeted at making God angry; were not made to prove God wrong in their case and in His words to them; were not to despise or displease Him and His words in any way; were not to show God how angry they were against Him for the delays; were not to show God how frustrated they were in following and trusting His word concerning the Isaac He promised and named to them; were not to show God how disappointed and frustrated they were in believing absolutely; were not signs to show they had turn their back on following Him and were now following their instincts and trusting in themselves.

One thing was certain, despite what she did, she was always desiring and expecting the promises of God to be fulfilled; though Sarah was wrong in judgment and actions, she was still looking and committed to trusting God for His words. Irrespective of our wrong judgments while trusting and waiting on God, feelings, frustration, disappointments, and shame, God will always be right in His judgment and in everything He had said to us and in every promise He had made. Like Sarah, we have been wrong several times in thoughts and actions, but despite all, as God forgave Sarah, so will He forgive us through Christ Jesus; as He fulfilled His words to Sarah, so will He fulfill His words to us; and as He gave Sarah what He said, so will He give us what He had said.

Many of us are feeling it’s all over, but God will prove that feeling to be wrong; we have given up dreams, God will prove that action wrong; we have given up expecting and desiring His best for our lives and His promises personally, He will prove us wrong soon as He did with Sarah. One thing is very certain, irrespective of our thoughts, feelings, frustrations and disappointment, God will always be true in all things and will fulfill His promises to us. He will never turn His back on us when we are judged wrongly; when we fail and when we experience delays. His faithfulness and commitment to our wellbeing is forever and His love will preserve us until we receive all that He had said and promised.

God does not want any of His children to be depressed or to remain in depression for whatever reason; He does not want any of His children obsessed or oppressed by evil in any location or place; He does not want any of us to miss His promises; that was the reason even when Abraham and Sarah were far beyond the age of child bearing, He made them able; despite your age and location,  God will make you able to fulfill His words and able to manifest the promises you have been holding onto, trusting and expecting. How wrong have you been thinking God is a man or that He will act like a man? How many times have we been wrong thinking the afflictions from our enemies will consume us? How many times have we been wrong considering our enemies more power than us even when we know the Lord is in and with us, and are praying to Him? How many times have we been wrong in considering our failures as our end point in life when we see the successes of others? How many times have we been wrong dwelling in our past instead of our future? Take a little time to look at the promises of God for your life again and you will realize how strong and successful you will be holding onto the God who promised. Many Christians are troubled by their thoughts, sights, and what they experience, but remember, God will not fail. “The Lord does not delay as though He were unable to act and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is extraordinarily patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9.
