ANOINTING COMES WITH DEMANDS (7)

The anointing will demand you rely solely on God as David did when he faced Goliath and Saul in the battle of his life for the fulfillment of the words of the anointing on his life. No other thing was required and nothing else will work. You will rely solely on God’s power as Jesus Christ did and was empowered after the wilderness experience and raised to life after being buried on the third day and as Daniel was when he was thrown into the den of lions and was preserved unhurt and rescued after a fearful and wonderful night with the lions n their den, and as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego solely depended on God despite being thrown into the burning furnace and was delivered alive and unhurt thereafter. The demands of the anointing will not kill you but will prove who you are and who you will be thereafter. Every anointing will require you to do something real, something true, and something substantial in order for it to be manifested fully and for God to stand up with you and for you and confirm His plans and will for your life.

These are some of the demands on the anointed in the scripture; to King Saul, it was a demand to remain obedient even in times of intimidation, fear, uncertainty, and battle, but he failed when the fear of defeat in the battle made him to offer a sacrifice against the words of Samuel. He was told thereafter; “has the Lord as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obedience to the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as serious as the sin of divination and disobedience is as serious as false religion and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you as king..” 1 Samuel 15:22-23. His action of disobedience was regarded as a sign of rejecting the Lord, and that denied him the continuation of kingship, the grace, and blessing of the anointing. Do not allow any form of disobedience to deny you these blessings of the anointing, the reward you will receive thereafter will be greater than the fears and any other reason to disobey God’s word.

The anointing demanded and untrained and unnamed David to take up only a sling and a stone in his hands and go against Saul who was fully trained and fully armed for war for years in a battle that will later show God doing what He wanted to do to give David the recognition he deserved to be the next king in Israel according to the words of the anointing. “The Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog that you come to me with shepherd’s staffs? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. The Philistine also said to David, come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the sky and the beasts of the field. Then David said to the Philistine, you come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted. This day the Lord will hand you over to me, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the corpses of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the earth, so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel and that this entire assembly may know that the Lord does not save with the sword or with the spear; for the battle is the Lord’s and He will hand you over to us.” 1 Samuel 17:43-47. It is certain the anointing will not fail to exalt God, defend, deliver and lift you Up to prominence thereafter, so whatever the anointing demands, do it irrespective of the case and the forces fight against you and your future. Remember, the anointing will not fail you.

The anointing might demand you use an unconventional weapon to fight in a conventional battle; it might demand you use an unapproved weapon to engage a formidable and well equipped and prepared enemy; it might require you to do what people do not approve or think to win a battle; it might require you keep silent when challenged or confronted with the unexpected, or you speak God’s love instead of human hate; it may demand you hold back retaliation or paying back evil; it may require you pray instead of praise, fast instead of arguing. Whatever the anointing requires you to do, do it and you will definitely have the success you deserve. For prayers Click here
