God will change your situation for good. There are many things that people are expecting to hear from you; things that they are eagerly and desperately waiting to see in you and through you; they are waiting for things that are real and very true from the God you had trusted and followed all these years; they are expecting the things they can and will use to relate with you; things that they can refer to and come to thank God for your live; things that will change all of their previous words against you, all of their previous views against you, and all of their previous perceptions against you; they are looking for things that will attract them to your God and you know what, God is not relenting concerning you in all of those things; He will give them to you and He will show it to them; He will show you how much you are precious and loving to Him. In the eyes of men, the pregnancy of Elizabeth was a surprise and historic.

Elizabeth and her husband expectation for a child was long overdue, their waiting period, efforts and patience were overstretched, their hope was dying with age; family members had stopped all expectations and were disappointed in their inability to have a child early and had concluded they will never overcome the shame; Elizabeth had accepted her shame and the words of men against her, but in God’s calendar, that Child will come and nothing will ever be able to stop him. There are things that had stopped you in many ways; things that had forced you to doubt your dreams, your desires and your expectations from your God; things that are questioning your faith daily; things that are challenging your believe in the Lord Jesus Christ; things that are fighting your hopes, but despite the questions, the challenges, the fighting and all the shame, the God of Elizabeth and Zechariah is still living today and will bring your expected good news to you, He will take away your shame and will grant you joyful peace.

When all hope fails, God will not fail, when people desert you, God will not desert you; when your situation makes you uncomfortable and weak, God will make you comfortable and strong; when the days of your expectations are not coming as fast as you intended, God had not written them off His records for you. despite all the delays, the shame from the family and the uncomfortable words from people around, Zechariah was still faithful to his God, was still active in his services and was still in His presence carrying out his assigned duties courageously and one day, he heard the voice of God again concerning his long expectations. God had not forgotten you beloved faithful servant.

This is the truth of what happened “When Herod was king of Judea, there was a Jewish priest named Zechariah. He was a member of the priestly order of Abijah, and his wife, Elizabeth, was also from the priestly line of Aaron. Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God’s eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord’s commandments and regulations. They had no children because Elizabeth was unable to conceive, and they were both very old. One day Zechariah was serving God in the Temple, for his order was on duty that week. As was the custom of the priests, he was chosen by lot to enter the sanctuary of the Lord and burn incense. While the incense was being burned, a great crowd stood outside, praying. While Zechariah was in the sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the incense altar. Zechariah was shaken and overwhelmed with fear when he saw him. But the angel said, don’t be afraid, Zechariah, God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John. You will have great joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, ---- Zechariah said to the angel, How can I be sure this will happen? I’m an old man now, and my wife is also well along in years. Then the angel said, I am Gabriel, I stand in the very presence of God. It was he who sent me to bring you this good news. But now, since you didn’t believe what I said, you will be silent and unable to speak until the child is born. For my words will certainly be fulfilled at the proper time. Soon afterward his wife, Elizabeth, became pregnant and went into seclusion for five months. How kind the Lord is, she exclaimed. He has taken away my disgrace of having no children.” Luke 1:5-25.
