BLESSINGS OF EXPECTATIONS

It is because of God’s expectation on man that He opens the door of grace to receive forgiveness, gives us Jesus Christ to show us the way and to lead us through that way, gives us the apostles and the bible and the Holy Spirit. Irrespective of what the devil might be doing in your life, your situation and against your progress, God maintains a very high expectation in you today and forever. Despite the shortcoming in your life which you are crying about, God still believes in your absolute freedom and joy, your complete healing from all illnesses, your real prosperity even in your present lack and struggles, your satisfaction in your prayers and desires, and your purification and sanctification through His words. And God is investing every day in these expectations and has all things in place for you to achieve them. You have to invest in yours.

“In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may not perish, but have eternal life and actually live forever. For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He even gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.” John 3:15-17

Expectation is the only key that brings reality to a dying world. Expectation opens the doors of great opportunities and eliminates idleness. Expectation opens the door for you to meet with people of diverse interest and ideas, establish and maintain good relationships and partnerships with people; it enables you to practice true patience in all things, maintain long tolerance, practice God’s love based on humility and also endeavor to forgiveness people despite the hurts and pains of previous faults. It opens your heart to receive some level of joy and also sustains your hope for better days ahead. Without expectations, you will definitely miss several physical and spiritual excellent opportunities in life.

Expectations have the power to help you build a formidable and trusted character, can help you order your speech rightly and keep actions and reactions under God’s control. All godly inspired and motivated expectations are attainable and have the tendency of directing your life to what God wants, what you want in life and where you want to be if you will decide to follow the good rules laid out in such things. One thing that keeps hope alive is continuous expectation even in time of uncertainties, confusion, despair and disappointments. With a living hope, you will never lack expecting something spectacular and news in your life and profession.

Jesus Christ came into the world with expectations for you and I, He went to the cross with expectations for you and I, He rose from the death also with expectations for you and I. Christ did nothing without expecting good to come out of it and you should do the same also. He said: “I am the Door, anyone who enters in through Me will be saved (will live). He will come in and he will go out freely, and will find pasture. The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd risks and lays down His [own] life for the sheep” John 10:9-11

We have several assurances in the scriptures that our expectations will not be forsaken when we hold on to them tenaciously despite our feelings, the disappointments, the delays, the angers and the pains. God is still honoring His words even in our times. “Yes, my heart will rejoice when your lips speak right things. Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord all the day long. For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off. Proverbs 23:16-18 Click here
