HELP ME TO TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION OH LORD

“And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house; and circumcise the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him. And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.” Genesis 17:23-14

God knows your strength and your weakness. He knows your decisions and indecisions, He knows what you are going through; He knows how though things are and how though it had been all these years, He knows how the present situations are affecting what He had destined for your life; because He sees, He knows and He hears, He will not relent until you are victorious and established in the things He had promised for you in life.

It was because of what He knew about Abraham and Sarah, their desire to fulfill His promises, it was because He always remembers every of His promises and the promise He made to them, He stepped in to give Abraham an instruction which He knew will unlock every impossible situation in their life, He also knew Abraham was able to carry out such instructions successfully. Because of what God’s knows about you, because He remembers every promise He had given to you and you are holding on to them, He had given you instructions that will enable you fulfill all of them despite the years of delays and the frustrations they had suffered before now.

It is of note that God will never ask you to do that which is impossible, He will never demand that which is not in your hand or in your power to do. Whatever He will ask you to do is within your power and capability to do. There are many things that we must do as Christians to move the hands of God and to provoke the power of our salvation to act decisively for us. There is a level to which our salvation will take us and there is a level to which our actions will take us in life, and not until we act decisively, we will still remain unchanged despite the genuineness of our salvation and grace in Christ Jesus.

Abraham was clearly asked to leave his father’s house and his country of birth before God’s promises he believed and trusted could commence; when he was ninety nine years old, God asked him to circumcise himself and the entire male in his household before his wife Sarah could conceive the promised son ‘Isaac’ can be conceived, and it was only after he had obeyed that the promise were accomplished and fulfilled in his life.

God would have given Hannah children without having to cry, pray, and meet Eli in the temple, but God wanted her to pray for a particular child that He will use and to meet Eli so she could make a vow of surrendering the child back to God for His services in the temple under Eli’s supervision and spiritual guidance. God would have saved the world without Christ Jesus; He would have stopped Him from being crucified, He would have stopped Him from being beaten, but He allowed Him to suffer the pains and be crucified so the redemption of our souls would never be contested by the devil after paying the full price with the blood of Jesus Christ.

When Jabez realized his condition and what had happened to his brothers before him, though they all believed in God and were Isrealites, he decided to do what they did not do and that gave him the victory he requested. Instead of allowing his parents to decide his fate, he decided to pray the prayers his parents and his brothers could not pray and that action changed everything about him. Prayers can change generational curses but not until you pray, your trust and believe in prayers will never produce the result you desired. Appropriate actions will definitely produce appropriate and expected results. Spend some time in asking God to help you take appropriate actions from now on. For prayers, Click here
