“I DON’T WANT YOU TO DIE, SAYS THE LORD” (2)

Post date: Mar 30, 2020 11:19:51 PM

God’s desire is to keep you alive and healthy despite all adverse circumstances, to heal your body despite the diseases and viruses, to heal your mind despite the thoughts and uncertainties, and to physically restore whatever you have lost since you began to walk with Him and believe in His grace, His faithfulness and ability, He has adequate plans to fulfill them and He will fulfill them in your life. He does not want you to die without fulfilling the number of years He destined for you before you were conceived and without accomplishing the plans and the purpose He created you to accomplish in this very life. Because of these desires, God gave you His Spirit to confront whatever fears that might come your way with the word of God, to destroy your fears with the power of God, to speak life to yourself and your circumstances instead of fear with your own mouth, to renew and deliver your mind from dwelling and walking in fear, to deliver your body from the grip and consequences of fear, and to lead you to the place of victory and joy instead of the place of death and destruction because of fear. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7

Fear is destructive and restrictive. Fear destroys faith, and courage, and restricts progress despite all the good planning and open doors of great opportunities; it speaks of yesterday while blinding our minds and senses to what tomorrow holds and the promises therein, it makes us hold back the best of and in ourselves, the best in our thoughts, the best in our imagination, the best in our beliefs and the best in acting out what we believe in faith. It makes us stay back, lockup, and lockout, retreat and give excuses instead. It kills our dreams and makes us weak and ineffective lacking courage and power despite the availability of enabling grace from above on us. But God had already given us victory over whatever fear that is in existence now and the ones that will come hereafter. We must overcome the fears that want to destroy us, that wants to kill us, that wants to kill out dreams, that wants to render us useless and ineffective, that wants to destroy our faith and render us fruitless in the things of God and deny us the blessings in the promises of God. Not until  we overcome the fears, whatever it may be and wherever it comes from irrespective of the reasons, we will remain limited in our ability to receive from God and from men, limited in our ability to share the love of God and to remain faithful to God and to man, and we will be limited in sharing the power of the grace that is in believing in Christ Jesus and the joy and peace and comfort we have in His words.

The fear of loneliness is destructive to whatever self-esteem and motivation you may have, but despite all the fears and loneliness, God had promised us an everlasting companion through His Spirit that dwells and works in us. Isolation brings thoughts and feelings of rejections but God had asked us to focus our thoughts, our minds, and our attention on things above where Christ dwells and intercedes for us in all our ways and in all our affliction. You will survive this virus and its afflictions, and you will see God’s goodness and receive His blessings.

“Sing, O childless woman, you who have never given birth. Break into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem, you who have never been in labor. For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband, says the Lord. Enlarge your house, build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense. For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities. Fear not, you will no longer live in shame. Don’t be afraid, there is no more disgrace for you. You will no longer remember the shame of your youth and the sorrows of widowhood. For your Creator will be your husband; the Lord is his name. He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth. For the Lord has called you back from your grief as though you were a young wife abandoned by her husband, says your God.” Isaiah 54:1-6. For prayers, Click here
