“A delegation from the tribe of Judah, led by Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, came to Joshua at Gilgal. Caleb said to Joshua, remember what the Lord said to Moses, the man of God, about you and me when we were at Kadesh-Barnea. I was forty years old when Moses, the servant of the Lord, sent me from Kadesh-Barnea to explore the land of Canaan. I returned and gave an honest report, but my brothers who went with me frightened the people from entering the Promised Land. For my part, I wholeheartedly followed the Lord my God. So that day Moses solemnly promised me, the land of Canaan on which you were just walking will be your grant of land and that of your descendants forever because you wholeheartedly followed the Lord my God. Now, as you can see, the Lord has kept me alive and well as he promised for all these forty-five years since Moses made this promise even while Israel wandered in the wilderness. Today I am eighty-five years old. I am as strong now as I was when Moses sent me on that journey, and I can still travel and fight as well as I could then. So give me the hill country that the Lord promised me. You will remember that as scouts we found the descendants of Anak living there in great, walled towns. But if the Lord is with me, I will drive them out of the land, just as the Lord said. So Joshua blessed Caleb son of Jephunneh and gave Hebron to him as his portion of land. Hebron still belongs to the descendants of Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite because he wholeheartedly followed the Lord, the God of Israel.” Joshua 14:6-14.

Many things are going though your mind, thoughts, imaginations, and your personal experiences now; some had been there for months or years; you have experienced what you never expected, seen what you never desired or prayed for; told horrible and hurting things about yourself, your life, and your feelings; your hopes and feelings had been bruised in ways only God can restore and He will definitely restore, yet in all things that you seen in your life, marriage, relationship, job, health, home, in your age, and children, be them physically or spiritually, God says He is still alive and will show Himself to you again in ways that will never be resisted or confronted against by the evil in your life. Your values before God had not depreciated even as you think and if men will ever forget to keep their words and promises made to you, God would never forget His; in all or any way that they have forgotten due to anything they have come to see in you and known about you, God will reverse them; He will grant you the promises He made and will fulfill all His words concerning you, even words made without your knowledge and without a witness. Just keep remembering God’s promises to you like Caleb did despite what you see and know and had been convinced about your life and situation by people you know and don’t know.

Caleb told Joshua with all confidence and beg him to remember these, he said: “today I am eighty-five years old, I am as strong now as I was when Moses sent me on that journey, and I can still travel and fight as well as I could then. So give me the hill country that the Lord promised me, you will remember that as scouts we found the descendants of Anak living there in great, walled towns, but if the Lord is with me, I will drive them out of the land, just as the Lord said.” Look, God is with you, He is still in you and He will still fulfill His promises. Caleb said though he is eighty-five years old, he had not forgotten the promise that God gave to him when he was twenty-five; though he was eighty-five, he still trust God had not forgotten the promise; though the promise was made when he was twenty-five, God can still fulfill it now that he is eighty-five; though time had passed, the possibility had not passed, though his situations and age had changed, yet he is still strong enough to fulfill the promise and to be what God had said and claimed what God had promised Him. Do not allow the devil or any man to convince you and take you out of the promises in the word of God for your life, saying it is impossible due to age or anything else; God will fulfill all of His promises to you and I believe it.
