Fear is real and even the brave and the mighty do show signs of fears and uncertainties in various ways and at various times, but despite the fears and all the uncertainties God will not stop any of His words, any of His plans, any of His purposes and any of His desires for your life, profession, health finances, marriage, family and that of your children from being fulfilled at the right time and in the right place and before the right audience. Fear will not defeat you, uncertainty should not deter you, frustrations will not destroy you, disappointments should not stop you and shame should never swallow your dreams, visions, and desires to the seeing the fulfillment of the things God in His love had promised you. Paul after being divinely directed by God to go to Macedonia in a revelation wrote of the inner fears he encountered when he got there, the troubles he had, the restlessness in his body, the oppression he experienced, and the conflicts within in 2 Corinthians “Great is my confidence in you; great is my pride and boasting on your behalf. I am filled to the brim with comfort; I am overflowing with joy in spite of all our trouble. For even when we arrived in Macedonia our bodies had no rest, but we were oppressed at every turn, conflicts and disputes without, fears and dread within. But God, who comforts and encourages the depressed and the disquieted, comforted us by the arrival of Titus.” 2 Corinthians 7:4-6

But Paul did not stop at the troubles, he also expressed his confidence in the comfort that God will do, his pride in the result that will follow, his boasting of their efforts and the overflowing joy in his heart. That kind of confidence, comfort, boasting, pride and overflowing joy did not come out of the self-confidence but it came out of the trust he had in God’s ability to turn things around for him despite the fears, to make the impossibilities possible despite the oppression and depression, to dispel their fears despite the conflicts within and to fulfill their expectations after obeying the divine instruction to go to Macedonia. Despite your fears and the delays of all these years, God is still able to fulfill His plans; despite your disappointments, God is still showing you the road to your better future; despite the depressions and frustrations, God is still giving you the assurance that He is still in charge of your health, your profession, your finances, your children, your marriage, your relationships, your education and your entire life.

Paul was having and maintaining his expectations on what God had told him to do in Macedonia and not on his fears, depressions and the conflicts within. Having the right expectations is good for everyone spiritual health, growth, and stability; it is good for everyone physical and mental health; it is good for every relationship at every level; it guarantees positive focus in life; enables positive and consistent actions and promotes the values of godliness. Living in that expectation will always be rewarding and benefiting irrespective of the oppression and oppositions one. In living with a godly expectation, Paul wrote in Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world any longer with its superficial values and customs, but be transformed and progressively changed as you mature spiritually by the renewing of your mind, focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes, so that you may prove for yourselves what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect in His plan and purpose for you. Living with a godly expectation will enable us to be transformed in our minds, words and in the result we produce daily. Because I am sure God will do all that He had promised you in this very life despite all the fears and all the uncertainties that you would ever experience daily, you should be transformed by what God had told and not what you heard from any men as Paul did in Macedonia. You should be transformed by what you see God do and not what you see from men irrespective of their authority; you, your mind and thoughts should be transformed by the miracles and testimonies in the Holy Scriptures and not by scientific research. Be transformed by the miracle and testimony of Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Hannah, Jabez, Elizabeth and also the miracle of Christmas because your will also happen. For Prayers Click here
