WHEN THE LORD REMEMBERS YOU (03)

Everyone remembered by God will experience something new, will have something miraculous; will see something different from the usual, and will have something that will make them glad in their privacy and rejoice openly in His presence. Did you know there are many forgotten people around the world, but no one is forgotten by the Lord? People forgotten by their own people in their own land; forgotten by their own family members, forgotten by neighbors, forgotten by their own country, and forgotten by their own governments, yet these people are also important in their country and to God and important to God’s program now and in the future. David is our perfect example today. Before he became a king, he was forgotten by his parents and left to remain in the forest alone, outside of the family home; he was refused the privilege of parental comfort and care, all his duty was taking care of the family sheep. There was no other hope for David, no one care what he will become; no one gave him advice on how to prosper, how to become a king, how to stand up and be recognized, how to grow old and strong, no one taught him how to sing or play musical instruments; David was forgotten by men but God had a plan for him, God had a purpose for his life and God made His ways to become David's ways and future.

God took David up from the forest, anointed him with oil for greatness even in the land that he was nobody, that he was not regarded to be anybody or foretold he will in the future, one day be a king and or someday redeem the image of his family and parents; God washed him up from the inside and prepared him for the divine He had set for him, God directed his path from then on, gave him skills in instruments and songs, took him to the battleground and used the defeat of Goliath to announce David’s upcoming greatness and future; God took him to the palace to be close to King Saul; God distinguished David by his character and success, God established his name and his works in the heart of the people and King Saul noticed it and Jonathan said to David “Don’t be afraid, because the hand of my father Saul won’t touch you. You will be king of Israel, and I will be second to you. Even my father Saul knows this.” 1 Samuel 23:17

That was David forgotten, forsaken and left in the forest. David said “Hear me as I pray, O Lord, be merciful and answer me, my heart has heard you say, come and talk with me, and my heart responds, Lord, I am coming. Do not turn your back on me. Do not reject your servant in anger. You have always been my helper. Don’t leave me now; don’t abandon me, O God of my salvation. Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close. Teach me how to live, O Lord, lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me. Do not let me fall into their hands. For they accuse me of things I’ve never done; with every breath they threaten me with violence. Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous, yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms 27:7-14

When God remembers you, the result will start being visible; when God visits you the results will be outstanding; when the Lord lift you up, He will establish you and when the Lord helps you, He will sustain you and no one will take you down. You have waited for this day and season for so long, God has seen it, He has heard you, He has remembered you, and He is visiting you. This is your season. David said “I waited patiently for the Lord. He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted, drew me out of the pit of destruction or desolation, out of the sticky mud, swamp. He stood me,  placed my feet on a rock and made my feet steady. He put a new song of celebrating victory in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many people will see this and fear him. Then they will trust, find refuge in the Lord. Happy is the person who trusts the Lord, who doesn’t turn to those who are proud or to those who worship false gods. Lord my God, Your plans for us are many, there would be too many to count.” Psalm 40:1-5. Prayer Request Click here
