GOD’S PLANS FOR JEREMIAH

Post date: Apr 15, 2015 3:51:09 AM

Did you know God has an unchangeable plan for your life as He had for Jeremiah? Did you know God will forever stand by His words concerning you if you will decide to stand by the words that concern and confirms Him as the King and Lord of all things? In standing on the words of God on any issue, you will be tested, tempted, tried and totally frustrated by the devil and his many agents in human flesh. But despite the entire test that will ever come to you, despite all the temptations that will want to destroy you and the take the little that you have, and despite all the numerous trials that will seek to frustrate you, force you to abandon the faith, and withdraw from the presence of God, the Almighty Father is able to deliver you, He is able to keep you, and He is able to sustain you through all that you may ever experience in life because you have decided to follow Him

Those were the things that Jeremiah experienced and many more, but he never one day turn back on God, never one day withdraw from the presence of God, he never one day spoke the words of men, and he never one day speak to please anyone. But in and through all those humiliating and life threatening experiences, God was with Jeremiah and never forgot His plans for his life. That is what God will do for you as He did for Jeremiah. You are serving the God who can never forget anything about your life except your sin which He had decided never to remember again.

Jeremiah was one of the many prophets of the Almighty God who truly stood firm on believing and absolute following the words of God even when it was quite clear that the people did not want to hear such words; they all wanted something relevant to their present indulgences and current, something sweeter to take in without remorse, something softer than what they have known all those years; something more pleasant to their ears and less irritating to their amplified egos, bloated ambitions, and conforming to their ungodly desires; but Jeremiah stood firmly on the truth he heard from God even when it was not popular among the religious faithful’s and the not so religious people; even when he knew the result of his words will infuriate anger against him and cause the people to hurt him. He spoke the word of God not as he thinks in his heart but as he heard from the mouth of God; he spoke the truth before kings, before other prophets, and before the entire nation and waited to see the manifestation of those words; he completely refuse financial rewards and the political offers promised him if he could only speak otherwise.

There is nothing out there which is as solid as the words of God; there are nothing that can stand against God’s will for you. God will always and forever defend His words with actions that will amaze men in all ages, and I expect that in my age. Many things did not go well with Jeremiah the way we would have expected, but everything about what God said to him and through him were fulfilled. Looking back, Jeremiah regretted, but looking forward he had hope, assurance and joy that God had not and will not failed him. But in every circumstance, Jeremiah remembered the unfailing words of God to him: “For thus says the Lord, when seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you and keep my good promise to you, causing you to return to this place. For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you. Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me as a vital necessity and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you from captivity and gather you from all the nations and all the places to which I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.” Jeremiah 29:10-14.
