HE VOWED ON YOU

Post date: Apr 30, 2012 9:03:23 AM

“For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed”. Malachi 3:6

Did you know that God has taken a vow on you and is actively committed to keeping you until all His vows and commitments are fulfilled in you? Did you know that He has the ability to do exactly what He said He will do? Did you know that not even the powers from hell, all satanic cohorts and your problems combined can stop God from performing His vows?

It is always good and proper to have the right knowledge in all things, but it takes the correct application of such knowledge to receive the expected transformation that will take you from where you are to where you ought to be. The vow of God for you is to be with you and to give you a future irrespective of your past and your present. Your future is not in your hands but in His hands and your present condition cannot stop Him if you will keep following Him.

The powers and misfortunes of the past are small compared to the glory of the future. The mistakes of the past were not permitted to destroy you because of His love and vow concerning you. Acknowledge your mistakes, makes corrections and move to the next level. You cannot afford under this vow, to dwell permanently in your past mistakes and misfortunes.

Knowledge is the power that builds confidence and boldness to overcome challenges. But the absent of understanding God’s knowledge about your life in addition to all other knowledge will only benefit you a little. Despite your past difficulties and present condition, what you know of your God can make a tremendous difference between the past, the present and the future. The very day Christ Jesus steps into any person’s life, all things past and present, begin to change for good and nothing can stop His plans for you and nothing can stop you thereafter.

Jacob was a man like us today with a cruel past, a confusing present and with an uncertain future. In his confusion and uncertainty, he heard the voice of God to move out and to move on. To move out of Laban’s house and to move on to a God destined future. In obedience he did moved and after a period of uncertainty, he spent the night using a stone for pillow to rest his head.  And in that unhappy and uncertain night, God appeared to him with a word that changed his thoughts, his words and his actions. These were the words “And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.” Genesis 28:15-16

Let me declare to you today, that God is with you to protect you, to bring you to a future that is greater than your thoughts and dreams. When Jacob hard that word, he was transformed from living a life of uncertainty and confusion to a life of assurance, confidence and hope. He said thereafter, “Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not” Genesis 28:16

Just like Jacob, the situation might have been very though; The hardship might have been taking its toll on you; The journey and the waiting is becoming longer than you first anticipated; The devil might have been celebrating over you; Your wages may have been reduces several times at no fault of yours and your physical value diminishing in the eyes of men as that of Jacob; Your mistakes or that of your ancestors is taking a hard knock on you despite your efforts to overcome them and move on, but as long you are alive; know that God is still with you for good. It might be days or years, but the word of God for you today is “I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you”. If there is nothing else to remember and hold on to in this life, never forget this “God took a vow on you, He will fulfill them all.
