DO WHAT YOU TOLD ME OH LORD (3)

“I will take my stand at my watch post and station myself on the tower, and look out to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint. And the Lord answered me; write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:1-3. That appointed time will come, you will live to see it and you will live to celebrate it. His words and promises are for an appointed time; they do not in any way expire before their due date or be changed by physical or spiritual circumstances.

Did you know even Abraham had doubts about what God told him and showed him? He did not doubt God; he did not doubt the word and promises of God; he did not doubt God’s power to do what He said and promises; Abraham doubted himself being able, he doubts the possibility of those things in his life considering his physical age and the age of his wife Sarah. Do you know that doubts will not stop our God? Fear will not stop Him and delays of any magnitude will not change His plans and promises to you and for you. Twenty years of delay did not stop God in the life of Abraham and Sarah. Abraham being ninety-nine and Sarah being ninety years old did not stop God in any way. Irrespective of their thoughts, their imaginations, their plans, their fears, and whatever they were experiencing and had experienced in their life did not Isaac from born to them and by them according to God’s plan and design and destiny for them.

It will take God’s miracle to see God’s word and work being fulfilled according to His plan and design, not human strength, not human knowledge, and not scientific breakthroughs. What God said and showed to you will be fulfilled by His might and power irrespective of your strength, your knowledge, your wealth, and your fears. His words never fail; He is unchangeable, He is always faithful, compassionate, and always very merciful. What has God or what did God show you or tell you? Do not forget them, do not discard them, and do not reject them. Afflictions will pass away; hindrances will be removed; you will overcome delays, and you will celebrate what He had said and shown to you by His power. You will see His mercy in your life and in your ways in your days. Your sadness will turn to joy and your mourning will be over soon.

“After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision; fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great. But Abram said, O Lord God, what will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus? And Abram said, behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir. And behold the word of the Lord came to him; this man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir. And He brought him outside and said, look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them. Then He said to him, so shall your offspring be. And he believed the Lord, and He counted it to him as righteousness. And He said to him, I am the Lord who brought you out from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess. But he said, O Lord God, how am I to know that I shall possess it?” Genesis 15:1-8

Abraham was told clearly, despite your good thoughts about your servant, you will definitely be a father of your own son; you will have your own children and grandchildren from your own loins. He was told Sarah will definitely conceive, be a mother and have a son irrespective of her physical age. He was told you will see Isaac with your own eyes and you will know that God in His power and might can do all things and will carry out all of His plans and intents. God even took Abraham outside to see what was to come. He showed him the stars – you will not have children but they will be like the stars that shine irrespective of the darkness around them. God took again to the seashore and showed him the sand – your children’s children will be numerous and uncountable. And all these came to pass. Yours is coming. For prayers, Click here
