DEAR LORD, I HAVE WAITED TOO LONG (1)

Those that believe in Jesus Christ; those that follow and believes His word; those that believe and trust God’s amazing love, greatness, mercies, forgiveness, the blood of Jesus Christ, all of His promises, all of His word, power, faithfulness, and the salvation of their soul through grace by Jesus Christ will not make haste even when uncertainties is all they see and hear every day and everywhere. In all things and at all times, they will painfully wait, joyfully pray, patiently put all of their hopes on Him; they will wait on the fulfillment of His words, and they will wait to see the full performance of His promises in their lives knowing God will never fail Himself neither will He fail them despite the delays and frustrations of waiting too long. It is good to know that waiting on the Lord will sometimes be very painful and frustrating but the reward of the result will always be far greater than the pains and frustrations when they finally come.

Oh, if only the children of Israel had trusted on the Lord to continue leading them when they were in the Promised Land as He did through the Red Sea and wilderness rather than demanding a physical king like other nations around them. Oh, if only Saul, the first king in Israel had waited a little longer for Samuel to arrive at the place of battle rather than hasting to offer a sacrifice that was rejected by the Lord, his Kingship, and his leadership would have ended in a better way. Oh if only Sarah had waited a little longer for the conception promised her by the Lord, her family, all humanity, and the entire world would not have been in all the troubles of the past and current generations, life would have been better and the future would have been better. Oh if only Moses was a little patient and refrain from anger, he would not have spent additional forty days and forty nights on the mountain to obtain what he had earlier destroyed through anger. I only Solomon the wise King had been more consistent with the word of God and depend and rely on it and not exclusively on his wisdom, the kingdom of Israel would not have been divided and he would not have plunged Israel into this unending troubles with the Palestinians. In every situation, at all times, and in every place, every hasty decision we make carries great consequences that will stay much longer than we first anticipated. You have waited long enough, keep waiting on Him; you have prayed long enough, keep praying and calling on Him; you have fasted long enough, keep fasting in hope. God is not ignoring you neither is He undermining your faithfulness to Him.

I have declared and I am determined, even though I have waited too long, I will keep on waiting; even though I have cried too often, I will keep on waiting; even though I have been afflicted and humiliated too often, I will keep on waiting; even though I have been insulted and frustrated too many times, I will keep on waiting on the Lord, for it is better for me to wait now even though in pains and suffering than to regret later after a hasty decision. The cry of the righteous does not stop here on earth, it goes to heaven and the Lord who rules in heaven and on earth will give us an answer; their afflictions are seen in heaven and known from heaven above; their patience is unending and their hope is never shifting from God to man, from faith to fear, or from prayers to despair or sorrows. They solidly wait for the fulfillment of the word of God, for all the promises made in the scripture and for the will of God to be dome and His kingdom to come.

“I have refused to walk the paths of evil, for I will remain obedient to your Word. No, I haven’t turned away from what you taught me; your words are sweeter than honey. And since only your rules can give me wisdom and understanding, no wonder I hate every false teaching. Your words are a flashlight to light the path ahead of me and keep me from stumbling. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again and again: I will obey these wonderful laws of yours. I am close to death at the hands of my enemies; oh, give me back my life again, just as you promised me. Accept my grateful thanks and teach me your desires. My life hangs in the balance, but I will not give up obedience to your laws. The wicked have set their traps for me along your path, but I will not turn aside. Your laws are my joyous treasure forever. I am determined to obey you until I die.” Psalm 119:107-112.  For prayers, Click here
