ROOTED

Root is an agricultural word that speaks of plants, in the bible, root signifies strength and it is an important reference to human beings and God’s intent for them. The beauty of any structure is in its foundation, and the strength of any plant is in its root. The higher the building above the ground the deeper its foundation will be. The beauty of your Christianity is not in your name or in any church or denominational affiliation, though this is needful, it is in your roots in the word of God, in your belief and in actions. God wants you rooted in Him, rooted in His words, rooted in prayers and rooted in actions that guarantee the continuous flow of God’s blessings.

God’s expectation for you is to absolutely belief His words not the pains, sickness, delays, frustrations, denials and fears from the devil will always bring into your live, and to be rooted in them. His words had the power to change all situations irrespective of its physical and spiritual condition. He expects you to always communicate your needs to Him in prayers without having any doubts of His ability and willingness to answer; when we truly pray, God truly answers. He expects you never to give up your faith in His ability, but to be firmly rooted in it, never to give up due to the passing antics of the devil. Your change is coming.

God had not made any mistake in your life, and if you have ever made any mistake whatsoever, He is willing and able to take them away and enable you overcome their consequences. I want you to believe that in whatever the Lord had called you to be and do, and whatever discipline He had enabled you to learn and be involved with, He wants you to be rooted in it.

The Spirit of the Lord ministered this in my heart that, the devil is does not fight the success of Christians but the foundation upon which they base their faith. Once the foundation is destroyed, the building is bound to collapse in a matter of days, weeks, months or even years. The devil knows the right place to battle you and the strategy to use, but your God also knows how to defeat Him when you are firmly rooted in Him.

The blessing of God upon your life is not meant to be a passing one, but one that stays and be rooted in you till eternity. God told David, “Nevertheless, My loving-kindness will I not break off from him, nor allow My faithfulness to fail [to lie and be false to him]. My covenant will I not break or profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of My lips. Once [for all] have I sworn by My holiness, which cannot be violated; I will not lie to David: His Offspring shall endure forever, and his throne [shall continue] as the sun before Me. It shall be established forever as the moon, the faithful witness in the heavens” Psalms 89:33-37

Rooted means to be firmly established; as a tree whose roots strike deep into the earth. Such trees are known by their beauty and nourishment even in times of draught. We have to be strong and rooted in Him because He is with us in all circumstances. And He said”

Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]” Psalms 1:1-3

God is bound to fulfill all this in your life as you endeavor to be rooted in Him, His words and His good actions every day. These are His purposeful intention for you and He can make all of them to happen. For prayers and encouragement during difficult times, someone is here to pray with you. Click here
