EXCELLENCE AND REWARD

The very best you will ever owe yourself in every situation is the very best you can offer in that situation to yourself. You were created by God to live a life of excellence irrespective of the activities of the devil against you. The devil did not crawl into the Garden of Eden unknown by God or through the mistake of Adam or Eve. God knew that he was in the Garden before placing Adam and Eve there. Did you know that God knows where you are right now? He knows your problems and struggles, He knows all the rejections and the denials you have suffered, He knows your cries and your joy, and He also know exactly what to do for you and when to do it.

When He made Adam and Eve, He gave them a task where He placed them, don’t be idle with wishful thinking, be busy doing something towards achieving your goals no matter how small it may be, be productive in words and in action and ensure you increase. “And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden [delight]; and there He put the man whom He had formed. And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, you may freely eat of every tree of the garden.” Genesis 2:8, 15-16

God told Adam to be active, but a little wishful thinking by Eve brought them into the problem they never envisage in the garden with the serpent. Your best does not come through wishful thinking, but through developing and maintaining a strong desire for personal excellence in all things. Money will not give you the excellence you desire in life, but a life of determination and purpose will give you the excellence that brings the money you need. Your desire for personal excellence will make the way for your success in life no matter what the devil and all his cohorts will ever do against you.

No one places a permanent limit on your level of success except yourself and the moment you take those limits off, you begin to soar to higher levels in life. God wants you to maintain a standard that the devil will not be able to nullify like that of Job. After receiving the grace for salvation, irresistible urge for success, godliness, faithfulness and sincere commitment is all you need to turn things around for yourself. Once you lost the drive for excellence, you lose control of your success as a Christian. Give your heart to that which is always good and acceptable by God. Read the things that will change you rather than reading things that will change others. Give your strength to that which will bring the expected result. Sincere commitment to your God, the strong desire to be active and successful, and the urge to reach your full potential in life through godly principles, these are the keys that will unlock the rewards of personal excellence.

Mordecai was a man like most of us today, but he was committed to a life of excellence even when he was nothing and had nothing to show in his entire life, and still struggling to survive the plots by Haman to kill all of Jews. He had an opportunity to report a plot to kill the king and thank God he did make the report. God will never forget whatever act of excellence we pursue and will surely reward it at the right time. At a time that Mordecai was facing his most challenging situation in life, God intervene and the King called for the book of remembrance and Mordecai was adequately rewarded at the right time. You will not miss your excellent reward.

“On that night the king could not sleep; and he ordered that the book of memorable deeds, the chronicles, be brought, and they were read before the king. And it was found written there how Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s attendants who guarded the door, who had sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus. And the king said, what honor or distinction has been given Mordecai for this? Then the king’s servants who ministered to him said, nothing has been done for him. ” Esther 6:1-3.
