For being in Christ Jesus, there is a plan for you; for being faithful and committed Christian, there is a plan for you; for following, accepting, and believing in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, there is a divine plan for you; for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, there is a plan for you; for trusting His words, there is a sure plan for you. You cannot follow Christ Jesus and His words and be left out of His plans. In all things, in all nations, in all locations, irrespective of your name, gender, and race there is a divine plan from our Father for you. His plans will work, it will be revealed and it will liberate you from whatever afflictions and pains that Satan in his evil wickedness had or has against you. Stand on God’s words, meditate on His promises, speak His words to your situations, and believe that He hears and He will do it. Be determined, be strong, be faithful, be truthful to Him. He will break the yokes, He will cut asunder the bars of iron, He will break the gate of brass, and He will let you out by His power.

Daniel was caged in the prison by Nebuchadnezzar but God in His power set him free from that cage and used him for His glory. Daniel had no prior dream about his future before becoming a captive and a prisoner; Daniel had no vision concerning his future prior to being locked up in that prison, but despite not having a dream, a vision or a prophesy, Daniel knew, obeyed, and followed the God of Israel. He knew there is no other God besides Him, and Daniel trusted that He was able to set him free from that captivity. What kept Daniel hopeful in the prison was the word of God he knew, the promises of God he puts his mind on and accepts, and the testimonies of God to the children of Israel which he meditates daily. He knew despite being in prison his God is alive and active; he knew God answers prayers and will answer him, and he knew the captivity was temporal. I want to assure you that whatever you are going through in life is temporal. God can and He will give you the power and freedom you need to declare His glory and testimony.

What took Daniel out from the captivity and pains of isolation was not just fasting and prayers, it was a strong determination to do something extraordinary, a determination to stand up to God’s word and promises; a determination to look beyond the pains of the captivity and focus on God turning things around for him, a determination not to be afraid of what the guards say and do against his decision; and a determination to speak what he trust the Almighty God will do to the hearing of the guards, and God did honor and blessed Daniel’s determination. “But Daniel was determined not to defile himself by eating the food and wine given to them by the king. He asked the chief of staff for permission not to eat these unacceptable foods. Now God had given the chief of staff both respect and affection for Daniel. But he responded, I am afraid of my lord the king, who has ordered that you eat this food and wine. If you become pale and thin compared to the other youths your age, I am afraid the king will have me beheaded.” Daniel 1:8

Before being a captive, Daniel knew the God of Israel, he knew how to pray and how to fast; but when he found himself in a situation and place he never prayed or asked God for before, he had to do ask God for something new, he had to arm himself with determination to continue trusting God for something extraordinary. Remember, your situation can only change you but cannot change your God. All that Daniel had to do from that time on was to add determination to his prayers, and to his faith. He prayed and fasted with greater determination; he approached the throne of God with determination for an answer; speaks to the prison guard with determination, despite being hungry he decided to stay away from the tempting food by determination, and it was that determination that kept him strong, that sustained him, delivered him, and granted him the favor he had before God and man. There is a greater power added to your faith when you are determined to continue doing what is right according to the scriptures not following your mind or what people are saying.
