The turnaround we expect in our lives, the ones we truly believe, the ones we doubt, the ones we have been struggling to have for years, the ones we have been denied several times and the ones we have been told by men that will never come can come and through Christ Jesus it is possible to have, through Christ it will come, and by Him, it will be far beyond the very best of our best expectations and struggles. When it comes to true Christianity and living according to Gods ways and following His principles, our expectations are very small compared to what God will do and what God can do and what God had promised to do for us in this very life. Do not be deceived, the promises of God is for this life and also for the life with Him in heaven.

What you know about the current system of things today around you, in your location, in your office and institution may have counted you out and rendered you ineffective and unfavored for the good things to come; the activities men and required regulations in the system and in the government may have counted you unfit and unqualified to advance beyond where you are right now; the lacks in your life and your health may also have counted you from advancing further in anything; the rate of hunger, sickness, unemployment, and lack of money may have counted you out, but despite the system, despite your location, despite the people, despite the regulations, and despite the delays and disappointments, God can and He will do the expected and the unexpected in your life. Did you know you are still very relevant in the plans and things of God despite the good and bad things you know in yourself, your weaknesses, your pains, your disappointments, and what you think concerning your prevailing situation? Did you know God had not abandoned you in any way despite your previous and present experiences, failures, shame, loneliness, fears and the uncertainties of the future? None of these things can change God’s plans for your life if you will keep your expectations in Him, believe His words, follow His words and revealed ways of living and doing things. God should be trusted above all feelings and His words should be followed above all thoughts and uncertainties.

This is what God told Elijah to do. “Go to Zarephath in Sidon and live there. I have commanded a widow there to take care of, provide for, and feed you. So Elijah went to Zarephath. When he reached the town gate, he saw a widow gathering wood for a fire. Elijah asked her, would you please bring me a little water in a cup so I may have a drink? As she was going to get his water, Elijah said, please bring me a piece of bread in your hand. The woman answered, as surely as the Lord your God lives, I have no bread. I have only a handful of flour in a jar and only a little olive oil in a jug. I came here to gather some wood so I could go home and cook our last meal. My son and I will eat it and then die of hunger. Don’t worry or be afraid, Elijah said to her. Go home and cook your food as you have said. But first, make a small loaf of bread from the flour you have, and bring it to me. Then cook something for yourself and your son. The Lord, the God of Israel, says, that jar of flour will never be empty or spent or used up, and the jug will always have oil in it, or not run dry or fail, or be empty until the day the Lord sends rain to the land. So the woman went home and did what Elijah told her to do. And the woman and her son and Elijah, the family and the household had enough food every day for many days. The jar of flour and the jug of oil were never empty, just as the Lord, through Elijah, had promised, according to the word of the Lord spoken through Elijah.” 1 Kings 17:9-16

This woman saw and knew the lack of rain for three years and six months; she experienced the famine that followed, the hunger, lack, and suffering of the people. The famine affected her thinkings, words, and expectations. Unknown to her, God was still interested in her having life and living it with comfort despite the draught and what others were experiencing. God provided for her far beyond her expectation for herself and for her child. Prayer Request Click here
