Satan had a plan, a strategy, and a purpose and he is out to fulfill them using many of the things happening to you and around you which you often consider insignificant, which you are careless about or which take for granted most of the time. Satan is a serious aggressor against every form of righteousness, faithfulness, commitment and submissiveness to God through Christ Jesus. He is against every form of true obedience to God and to His words. He is against every effort that will promote God in every life and in every community and in every nation. He is God’s enemy and had made you and all Christians his enemy. Satan is one that cannot be appeased until he has his way; he does not accept any plea and does not seek to understand with you, all he desires from you is that you surrender to him and become his follower directly or indirectly promoting his ways and doing his bidding.

Satan is not waiting until you have committed sin before he decides to come after you or after what belongs to you. He is not waiting until you cannot pray hard enough before he attacks you, he loves and encourages ineffective and purposeless prayers or no prayers at all; he is not waiting until you are poor or rich before he attacks you, all his desire is to destroy and bring you down from the place and position that God had given to you and he uses several methods to do just that and those things happening to you which you consider little, insignificant, and those things you are often very careless about to creep into your life and carry out his plan wickedness. Satan will not come after you unless he has a desire to kill which he always does, has a desire to destroy or to steal that which is always precious to you, precious in the eyes of God, and things that will enhance your life, making you better, relevant to yourself, to God, and to others in all aspects.

Satan did not go after Job because he committed sin or was in constant fear for his children, or because his children always had feasts, or because he failed in his prayers or prayed out of fear, or failed in his righteous commitments to God, to his family or to any man. Satan did not go after Job because he was wealthy, rich or proud of his wealth; he did not go after him because he cursed God in his heart or any of his children did curse God intentionally or unintentionally; Satan did not go after Job because he disobeyed any of God’s instructions or words. The only reason Satan went after Job was that he was righteous, feared God and worshipped God faithfully with all of his heart always.

“There was a man named Job living in the land of Uz, who worshiped God and was faithful to Him. He was a good man, careful not to do anything evil. He had seven sons and three daughters and owned 7000 sheep, 3000 camels, 1000 head of cattle, and 500 donkeys. He also had a large number of servants and was the richest man in the East. Job’s sons used to take turn to give a feast o which all the others would come and they always invite their three sisters to join them. The morning after each feat, Job would get up early and offer sacrifice for each of his children in order to purify them. he always did this because he thought that one of them might have sinned by insulting God unintentionally. When the day came for the heavenly beings to appear before the Lord, Satan was there among them. The Lord asked him, what have you been doing? Satan answered I have been walking here and there roaming around the earth. Did you notice my servant Job? The Lord asked. There is no one on earth as faithful and good as he is. He worships me and is careful not to do anything evil. Satan replied, would Job worship you if he got nothing out of it? You have always protected him and his family and everything he owns. You blessed everything he does, and you have given him enough cattle to fill the whole country. But now suppose you take away everything he has, he will curs you to your face. All right the Lord said to Satan, everything he has is in your power, but you must not hurt Job himself, so Satan left.” Job 1:1-12. Prayer Request Click here
