“No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live, for I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you. Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command, be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord, your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:5-9

The days of your reward is fast at hand; the day of your promotion had been brought nearer by the Lord; the day that God had promised you is fast at hand and you cannot afford to commit the same mistake as before or continue in the ignorance of the past years. The Lord had made His choice, He had given His words and confirmed the promise and He will fulfill all of His words and He will give you the victory you have believed and trusted Him for all these years. Joshua had followed Moses for years, served him with all his heart sincerely; stayed with him in trying times and in time of victory, and God found him faithful, reliable and able and chooses him ahead of all others who were with and around Moses. It is certain that Joshua was not afraid of the battle against the enemies of Israel, but afraid of the battle against the people who were with Moses and with him. They knew Joshua; they lived with him; they saw him always with them; they knew his weakness and they knew his strength. None of them thought he was strong enough to be a leader in Israel; none of them thought he will able to give Israel the victory they deserved; none of them believed he could stand up against the enemies; none of the elders of Israel gave him hope, courage or show loyalty and none gave him the benefit of doubt. But God willing to make Joshua what He had destined for him said to him be strong, and courageous.

God told Joshua that He knew what was ahead of him; He knew what will happen and He knew what it will take to have the kind of victory that even his people will be silent forever and will never raise up anything against him. When God was about to show Joshua His might, He told him to be strong; when God was about to challenge his enemies He told him to be courageous, and when God was about to confirm His plans and desires, He told Joshua to be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.

The devil will not challenge you except he knows your day of godly reward is here; he will not challenge you if he knows you are nothing on earth for the Lord; there is nothing in you from the Almighty God; he will not challenge you if he knows there is nothing with you that will affect his kingdom and people, and he will not after you if you are not with God. Joshua was never challenged when he was with Moses, his challenges came after he was found faithful and capable to lead Israel to their victory by the Lord. The challenges you face are about to lead to you to the place of your destiny, to the place of your recognition and glory and they about to give way for you to inherit the promise and confirm the manifestation of God’s will for your life. Challenges against those chosen by God are not ordinary; they are not common and are not for the feeble minded. You have endured challenges, you have shown faithfulness; you have suffered hardship and you not given up on the Lord God Almighty, you will see victory. That was what God told Joshua, you will see opposition, you will see barriers, you will see challenges, and you will see resistance, but you will also see victory, see my power, see my strength, and see my mercies. Be strong and courageous your day of victory will soon be announced. For Prayers, Click here
