YOU NEED GOD’S PROTECTION AS DAVID (4)

Post date: Jan 21, 2021 12:43:48 AM

My prayer for you is that salvation will take you to the place and position God had destined for you on here on earth and hereafter in heaven. There are divine promises in your salvation that are yet to be seen and fulfilled; there are blessings that are yet to come through; there are doors that are still closed and need to be open now or soon; there are opportunities you have lost that had to come back from today. Salvation will not fail you and you will not be a failure by reason of the salvation you have in Christ Jesus. Remember, before you repented and received salvation by grace through Jesus Christ, He had given His blood on the cross at Calvary as a ransom for your freedom; He had forgiven your past sins and any form of known or unknown wickedness, and He is opening the door of grace and justification and peace and glory for you to walk through, and you will walk through them by His power. The forces of darkness will not stop you even as they try, which they will definitely do. They will fail in their attempt to stop you as they failed in their attempts to stop David. Your protection is from Him alone; your future is in His power; He had redeemed your soul and released your life from the pits of failures and wickedness, from now on, you are His and He is yours and nothing will separate you from Him.

David stood before Goliath armed with a sling and five stones while Goliath, an experienced fighter fully armed with all military protective gears and weapons ready to kill; it was God, not David or his skill that protected him; God was there with him. When King Saul fling the javelin at David twice with the intent to kill him, God was there to protect David; when King Saul with his elite military force went searching for David from cave to cave, from one location to another, and from one town to another, God was there to protect David and prevent Saul from killing him. The armies and followers of Goliath saw David had an unusual victory; Saul saw David enjoy unusual protection; the armies of Saul saw David’s invisibility and could not understand how that was possible. David was protected not for David’s sake, but for God’s sake, for God’s purpose, for God’s words, for God’s promise to be fulfilled, for God destiny for Israel to come through in his life, and for God’s glory to be seen. David was protected and preserved because God in His love will never abandon what He had started and will not back out because of the threats of men and the attempts of the wicked.

David experienced an unusual level of protection; he experienced what he never expected in life, he experienced what he never prayed for and what no one was able to provide for him in pursuit of what God had said concerning his life and his future. He experienced cruelty from men, and also enjoyed the very best from God in all things. Good work, good planning, adequate wisdom and knowledge, perfect understanding, being fast, strong, and smart, being skillful, wealthy, and educated, a strong warrior and advocate are good, but they not enough to give you the kind of protection you will need in life. God’s protection is not limited to only physical things, it includes spiritual and every other form of protection you will never or will ever think of.

Did you know wealth is failing; the might of the strong and strength of the brave are failing? Did you know the security of men by men and by technology is failing? Did you know you will always need to keep yourself protected irrespective of your location, position, and your age? We know that we cannot pray enough, and our faithfulness alone is not enough, we have to ask God to protect us as He protected David. Our carefulness is not enough, we need the Almighty God. Despite our prayers, devotion, location, wealth, and age, we should not and should never in any way ignore the value of God’s protection. “Glory in His holy name. Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord. Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore. Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth, O seed of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones.” Psalm 105:3-6.
