YOU ARE COMING OUT (1)

The day Jesus Christ our Lord stood before the tomb of Lazarus was the day that those watching and doubting and waiting to see what Christ Jesus will do witnessed what they never thought will ever be possible; they witness the power of God through Jesus Christ; they witness the power of His spoken word, they witness and saw even death, the dead and the grave heard His voice and obeyed; they witness and saw His word instantly manifesting as He had said and commanded. They witness Lazarus walking out of the grave alive, they witness his sisters, friends, and relatives rejoicing again; they witness God turning their mourning into instant joy and they witness a new celebration, a celebration of restoration, a celebration of something new, a celebration of God’s power. You will celebration what you are going to witness next in your life and in your family. You will celebrate, and others will celebrate with you what they will witness.

At His command, there was no holding back from the grave, there was no holding back from the powers of darkness, there was no holding back from the powers of the dead. Lazarus walked out with life to the amazement of those who came to mourn with the sisters. “Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. Take away the stone, He said. But, Lord, said Martha the sister of the dead man, by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days. Then Jesus said, did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God? So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me. When He had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, Lazarus, come out. The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, take off the grave clothes and let him go.” John 11:38-44

Four days in the grave, the decomposing smell, the grave clothes around Lazarus' head, legs and face, the size of the stone on the entrance of the tomb, and all the witnesses standing, waiting and watching could not stop the words of Jesus Christ from coming to pass at that moment, could not stop the plans of God to bring Lazarus out from the grave, could not stop Christ from presenting Lazarus alive to his family; I am convinced nothing will stop God in your life and in this case, you will come out alive and God will restore everything you have lost. The number of years in that captivity, the pains of the bad days and years, the insults received and heard, the shame associated with the humiliation, and whatever you have experience will not stop you from coming out. God is bringing you out and you will come out. In hearing His voice, even though still in the grave Lazarus came back to life, at His command Lazarus came out from the grave, at His command the grave clothes were taken from Him, and at His command, Lazarus was restored to His family and friends. You are coming out to meet real restoration and true joy.

“For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. It is written: I believed; therefore I have spoken. Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:11-18.
