AND HE SHOUTED THE MORE, IT IS TIME OH LORD

“So he shouted out, saying, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.” Luke 18:38. That was a shout of a man who never wanted to miss his time of recognition; never wanted to miss his time of expected touch and change; never wanted to miss what God had divinely set for him in life and never wanted to be silent or forced to be silent when it matters most in his destiny. That was the shout of a man who knew that though he was born blind, he was not destined to remain blind the rest of his life and he truly desired that destined moment for his life. Bartimaeus never wanted to miss the chance to have his sights restored; he never wanted to miss the moment to present his talk and his request before Jesus Christ; he never wanted to remain in his physical blindness and he never wanted anyone or anything to hinder from that moment when it came, the scripture said he shouted. Even in his disability, blind Bartimaeus saw hope, he saw his expected opportunity come, he saw a chance to do what he had never done before and he took advantage and gave his very best for the best he expected. Though he was unable to see from birth, he never lost his senses and was quite able to talk and to shout and to express his needs to anyone who could see him, could hear him, and could walk close to where he was sitting daily to beg; though he was unable to go where he wanted to go freely without assistance, that day, he never wanted anybody to assist him in shouting for help; though he was asked to shut up, to remain where he had been all through the years, and to refrain from speaking, the voices of men were not able to quench his inner desire to speak and he shouted even more than he had ever done.

Thank God we have the Lord Jesus Christ who can see, hear, talk, answer and give us what we ask for in life; He saw blind Bartimaeus; He heard his cry for help, He stopped to talk with him and glory to God He never left him the same. Christ Jesus gave everything he requested even in his disability. The single moment brought physical, spiritual, eternal, and material change to the man; it brought joy that was too much to be expressed by him; it brought him healing that was beyond the wildest imagination of anyone standing by; it brought him restoration that was envied by all; and it brought him out from where he had been since he was to born to where Christ had destined for him before he was born, that encounter gave changed his language and gave him the ability to praise God and to walk with Christ Jesus. What are your disabilities and what are your expectations? Despite what you know, think and assume, that is the blessings that God will give to you today. He is able to do even more than that despite all that you know and assume as your disabilities in life. “So he shouted out, saying, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me. Those who were leading the way were sternly telling him to keep quiet; but he screamed all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me. Then Jesus stopped and ordered that the blind man be led to Him; and when he came near, Jesus asked him, what do you want Me to do for you? He said, Lord, let me regain my sight. Jesus said to him, regain your sight; your personal trust and confident faith in Me has made you well. Immediately he regained his sight and began following Jesus, glorifying and praising and honoring God. And all the people, when they saw it, praised God.” Luke 18:38-43

This man had no eyes to see but he has heard of who Jesus Christ was; he has had what Christ Jesus was doing to others in their own situations; he has had how He has the power to heal and he truly believed and waited patiently for his day and time, and behold, that day and time came and no one was able to intimidate him or force him to be silent again. This is your time; this is your day; this is your month, this is your year and this is your moment to look far beyond your disabilities, shame, delays, loneliness, barrenness, sickness, sorrows, failures, discouragement, anger, disappointments, homelessness, lack of favor from men and lack of trusted help. Jesus Christ is will listen to you today and do what He did with the blind man. For prayers Click here
