THE GREATEST PRAYER EVER

Post date: Mar 8, 2013 5:14:10 AM

The greatest prayer that any one will ever pray in his or her life time is not the one that will raise the dead, it is not the one that will change others or things around you. It is not the one that will open or close heaven or hell; it is not the one that one that will be rated and approved by all the media houses in the world combined. The greatest prayer is the one that will complete change you from the inside to the outside from what you want to be in life to that which God wants you to be. “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds” Matthew 16:26-27. That I the only prayer that is approved as the greatest prayer you will ever pray:

Almost everyone is looking for the greatest, the most potent and the most result oriented prayer to pray and to have as a possession. There is nothing as good as having one handy at all time and using such everywhere for every purpose you may be engaged with. The world, the church, believers and none believers are looking for people who can pray with them through the times. This is good and acceptable before God and there are great advantages to derive from such activities, but the greatest of all prayers is that which changes you first before the things that concern you and this is where the problem lies. Did you know that everyone offers prays either directly or indirectly to God or to something else in their live time? Believers and none believers alike, but Daniel said clearly the effectiveness of praying in knowing whom you are praying to and what you are praying for. “The people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits [for God]. Daniel 11:32b

Prayers are real, it is one of the best means of communicating with your God, and they contain our deepest heart desires, wishes and pains. God hears all our prayers, but He definitely does not answer all prayers, He knows all our spiritual and physical needs. He knows what is ahead of us before we come to know and see them and He makes adequate provisions for everyone who sincerely call on Him in prayer according to what He sees and knows on our behalf.

The greatest and most effective prayer that you will ever offer is the one which truly look inside of you for a genuine inward godly change, genuine surrender to God, genuine repentance from any evil and genuine desires that reflects God’s desire for your life. God will never fail to answer such prayers. But most of our prayers are concentrated on God changes the other external factors in our life and other individual leaving us as we are.

David is definitely one of the most prominent individual in the bible and these were some of his personal prayers: “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand. For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke. If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But God did listen. He paid attention to my prayer. Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me” Psalms 139:23-24, Psalms 139:1-6, Psalm 66:16-20.

That is one of the best thing you will ever do to yourself in life, submitting yourself to God and asking Him to search you, to reveal your wrongs, to correct you and to direct you. God will never ignore such soul searching prayer that seeks personal godly change. For prayer Click here
