EVE UNDER SATAN’S PRESSURE

“Now the serpent was more crafty, subtle, skilled in deceit than any living creature of the field which the Lord God had made. And the serpent, Satan said to the woman, can it really be that God has said you shall not eat from any tree of the garden? And the woman said to the serpent, we may eat fruit from the trees of the garden, except the fruit from the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God said, you shall not eat from it nor touch it, otherwise, you will die. But the serpent said to the woman, you certainly will not die. For God knows that on the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, that is, you will have greater awareness and you will be like God, knowing the difference between good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise and insightful, she took some of its fruit and ate it, and she also gave some to her husband with her, and he ate.” Genesis 3:1-6

In the beginning when Satan started his onslaught against humanity in the Garden of Eden, he did not come to Adam and Eve with force, he did not come to them as wicked, he did not show them his wicked intention, he did  not allow then to know or understand his rebellious attitude and he did not allow them to know what had happened to be prior to that appearance; he comes to them by showing himself as humble despite being hostile to God in the presence of other angels in heaven, he did not tell them he had lost his place in heaven, he was thrown out of the presence of God and out from heaven never to return. Satan did not reveal any of his past neither did he reveal himself, his envy and his greed, all he did was engage Eve in a persuasive conversation with the pressure to respond and follow his line of thoughts despite Eve revealing God’s words and commands to them.

Under that conversation with Satan, Eve did not forget the words, the instructions and the God’s command to them concerning the fruit, she told Satan exactly and openly what God said and what they had believed and followed before then, but that did not discourage Satan to leave her or forget his intent against her, but rather Satan pressured her to see more advantage in his own words and reasoning to them as against the advantage in the words of God and in their obedience to God; Satan pressured her to see beauty, knowledge, wisdom, and attraction in what God had clearly commanded them against, Satan pressured her to see beyond what she knew and what she understood from the words of God and under that pressure, she failed in her continuous obedience to God and follow the words of Satan and be attracted by the beauty in the fruit therein.

Satan or any of his agents will not come to you in hostility but will come in humility, in friendly manners, in loving persuasions, using what you are going through or had gone through, using your previous or current experiences and failed or delayed expectations to get your attention, he or they will appeal to you regarding your own self, not themselves or their depraved minds and thoughts, they will speak and show you things concerning what you truly desire, they will show or tell you their expected results, they with will not come to you forcefully but persuasively, they will not argue with the word of God but will desire to give you their own insight, show you the beauty of their reasoning persuasively, they will want to see and know your admiration in what they will present to you and will apply pressure on your mind, on your thoughts and persuasively force you to comply with what they say disregarding your belief in what God said concerning that same issue. Like Satan did to Eve in the Garden of Eden, he will mask the outcome which he knows and pressure you to accept his words as being what God desires of you. When pressured against the instructions of God, no matter the compelling evidence and persuasion, know that it will affect your future and your destiny. Eve never knew Satan was desiring to take her off God’s plans and off where God had given her according to His purpose. For prayers, Click here
