YOUR REWARD WILL BE GREAT

Your reward for accepting Christ Jesus as your Lord will be great; your reward for being faithful and obedience to His word will be great; your reward for praying, seeking His healing, His help, His power will be great; your reward for calling on His name will be great, and your reward for waiting for His fullness and the fullness of His providence will be great. We serve the God who rewards faithfully despite the delays and the punishment for being faithful followers of our Lord Jesus Christ. Your days of reward is coming and it will be definitely great. As you hold on to the word of God, as you trust the Lord for His words and promises, as you stand with faith and eyes fixed on Him, your reward will come. God will not forget your dedication; He will not overlook your faithfulness and your patience. Let me remind you again, God will reward you. The reward will be far beyond what men will do, can do, or had promised. It will be what only God will, can, and had promised to do. God will not fail you because He did not fail Abraham despite delays.

In the beginning of God with Abraham, He gave him a word, and a promise that was based on his obedience and compliance, and Abraham showed how willing and faithful he was by trusting the word, following the promise, and obeying every command. In doing that, he suffered a long delay, suffered lack, and laughter from people, but he never gave up hope and never stopped obeying and continuing in seeking the fullness of the promises despite experiencing delays and laughter from people. In keeping his faithfulness to God, to His word, and to His promises, God spoke to Abraham the second time, and said, be not afraid by what you are going through right now, your reward will come and it will be great. And God gave Abraham a second message when he felt the first was not working as fast as he expected it to be. I want you to know that despite the delays and the frustrations, pains, and humiliations you have suffered, God has not closed His eyes or His hears on you and He will not hold back your reward despite your plights.

In God’s first message to Abraham, He said, “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse, and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. So Abram went, as the Lord had told him.” Genesis 12:2-4. Abraham accepted the word, trusted the God who spoke to Him, and obeyed the commands, but along the way, he experienced fear of the fulfillment of those words and the promises. And God in His faithfulness and commitment to all of His words and all of His promises, spoke again to Abraham the second time and gave him all the confidence he needed in his coming future, in His words He had spoken, and in all His promises. “Some time later, the Lord spoke to Abram in a vision and said to him, do not be afraid, Abram, for I will protect you, and your reward will be great. But Abram replied, O Sovereign Lord, what good are all your blessings when I don’t even have a son? Since you’ve given me no children, Eliezer of Damascus, a servant in my household will inherit all my wealth. You have given me no descendants of my own, so one of my servants will be my heir. Then the Lord said to him, no, your servant will not be your heir, for you will have a son of your own who will be your heir. Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him, look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have. And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith.” Genesis 15:1-5

Even when things seem not to be working for Abraham as God had promised him, God told him don’t be afraid, your reward will be great. Do see the same in your life? Has God spoken to you before? He will speak to you again. Even when you have never heard from Him, His plans are still active and will still favor you. Every word of God is targeted at bringing man to the place He had destined, that man will appreciate Him, and be fulfilled according to His plans. God will give you a message and a reward and it will come. For prayers, Click here
