LORD, I AM GOING THROUGH FIRE

The threats against the Israelites as they were leaving Egypt to the Promised Land were not easy, but through grace and love from God, they overcame and succeeded in taking possession of the place God had destined for them. The saw things they could not tell; things they could not imagine; things they did not dream or were told by God or Moses or the elders. They saw what they called impossible and also experienced what they also called the miraculous. They saw the Red Sea standing to prevent them from moving forward and they saw the same sea being divided by the fingers of God to make a way for their passage; in the same Red Sea, they saw drowning of their enemies who tried to cross over and fight against them.

They had great needs on their way and they also saw the power of the Almighty God meeting all of their needs and comforting them through the wilderness beyond their imaginations. They had no need for change of clothing and shoes but God ensured they were not naked for forty years and their shoes did not wear out or hurt their feet. They were bitten by serpent and God used the same serpent to provide healing for them through faith. They had no need for security but God ensured no one hurt them in the day or in the night. They had no army but God ensures they were never defeated in any battle. That is the same God we serve today.

Some situations are fair while others are not so fair; some are deplorable while others are not; while some seek to destroy our soul others seek to destroy our testimonies and our professions; some seek to keep us idle despite being educated and well trained in our vocations while others seek to keep us busy without any fruit to show for it; some seek to keep us in the back seat for a very long time while some seek to take us out of the scene entirely. Some seem to make us look like fools despite knowing so much and willing to give what we know. Some seem to make us very silent even when we want to speak our minds out while others seek to pull us down and out from even contending for our rights on things we know; but despite the situation, God is still alive and very active in your life and in your affairs.

Some situations seek to separate us from God while others seek to bring us to God and put us on our knees for prayers and to search ourselves and motives; some seek to bring us to good people while others seek to expose our weaknesses to bad people; some seek to magnify the words, the evil powers, and the evil desires of our enemies while others seek to assure us that God is always on our side for good. But despite the situation at hand now, God is still active in you and will make His ways known to you so that you will have the power to testify of His presence, of His love, of His kindness, of His mercies and of His faithfulness.

“Come and see the works of God; He is terrible in his doing toward the children of men. He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot: There did we rejoice in him. He ruleth by his might forever; His eyes observe the nations: Let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Oh bless our God, ye peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard; who holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved. For thou, O God hast proved us: Thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. Thou broughtest us into the net; thou layedst a sore burden upon our loins. Thou didst cause men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; But thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. I will come into thy house with burnt-offerings; I will pay thee my vows, which my lips uttered, and my mouth spake, when I was in distress. I will offer unto thee burnt-offerings of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Come, and hear, all ye that fear God, And I will declare what he hath done for my soul. I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear: But verily God hath heard; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, Who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his lovingkindness from me.” Psalm 66:5-20.For prayers, Click here For Praise and worship Click Here
