MY HISTORY MUST CHANGE OH LORD

Post date: Sep 1, 2014 4:00:29 AM

“Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Luke 2:52 and Hebrews 13:8. Jesus Christ remained the same in His matchless love for everyone, the same in His redemptive power and desire to free man from past, present, and future sins, the same in His mission to show man the only way back to the Almighty God, and the same in His purpose to ensure all who will ever come to Him in true repentance are saved and preserved till the day of final encounter with the Almighty Father.

In His physical life of on earth, He greatly increased in all forms of wisdom, in all aspects of physical status, and increased in favor with God and with people every day. Christ came into the world to save our lives from the destructive tendencies of sin, greed which is compelled by the desires for self; to deliver us from all forms of lost, jealousy and envy due to emulations and desires to be like others; He came to deliver us from physical, spiritual and financial stagnation; from the wickedness of Satan, and from all the consequence of all sins.

That is where the change in history begins. You were purposely saved to fulfill a better purpose, to follow a new positive, rewarding and godly path to excellence, to have a unique life that truly reflects all the goodness that is in Christ Jesus. You were saved so that you can be like Christ in words, in deeds and in character. You were saved to begin a brand new purposeful life, and you were saved so that you can fully grow in all wisdom as Christ did, to grow in status as Christ did, and to grow in favor with God and man as He did; you should not fail in fulfilling that purpose.

You were not redeemed to follow the past but to overcome all its hindrances and limitations; you were saved and fully redeemed from your past and equipped to move towards a better future; to bring forth something really good, something very new from the past, and something pleasing for the ears to hear and the eyes to see, for God to be glorified and for all who will ever desire to take a look at you thereafter to praise God. You were redeemed so that you will stop following yourself, following your thoughts and every other thing that destroys the soul, the spirit and your body; you were saved and redeemed to be like Christ Jesus and Him alone in all things while being your very best on earth.

You must not remain the same year in and year out; you must not only be growing in age without growing in other areas of life. God had set you forth to write a new and better history about your life and your family. You must not inherit what you suppose not to inherit as a Christian, and you must not suffer the consequences of any evil you did not commit. Even when you inherited evil from past family activities, grace in the blood of Jesus is sufficient and available to bring a change that is different from what had been, and the evil that should be in your life.

There are many ugly histories in the life of people to rewrite with something better. Some of these histories are a direct result of family past and your present activities, some of the histories are with unpleasant inherited consequence of past generations. Some you know and some you may not know. But as you desire to change in your life for good, God will open the doors and will give the grace to effect the needed change. A godly determination will definitely produce the change you need in your life, in your spouse, in your marriage, in your children and in your job.

All that Jabez prayed for was a change of the family history in his own life, and we know God answered him because he asked. “There was a man named Jabez who was more honorable than any of his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because his birth had been so painful. He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, Oh that you would bless me and expand my territory. Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain. And God granted him his request.” 1 Chronicles 4:9:10. That same God will also grant yours. For prayers, Click here
