“IN THEIR HUMILIATIONS, HELP CAME”

Hannah was severely humiliated by her husband’s second wife, her husband’s children and the barrenness she was battling in her life, home and marriage despite her young age. One thing she knew and was quite convinced of was that she was not physically or spiritually sick, but she was mentally drained and disturbed by the thoughts of unwelcomed barrenness. She knew she was a woman, a child of the living God and a true believer in what God can and will do. She was absolutely sure she can conceive a child and had done all to have a child but the child was not forthcoming as was expected; above all, she knew she had God as her help and without help from that God, she will remain barren. And she decided to take her humiliation, her sorrows, her thoughts and all of her desires to that God, and in God helping her, He gave her seven children instead of just one she requested. In her humiliation, God gave a life changing miracle

Abraham and Sarah were humiliated and embarrassed, after believing all the promises of God for their lives concerning wealth, a new place to call home, and a son to be named Isaac for about twenty-five years; after seeing all other promises fulfilled; after walking in complete obedience to God’s words; after absolutely trusting God for all things and all provisions, after walking in absolute obedience, after being absolutely faithful, after being truthful in all things, after loving everyone, after maintaining purity in words, thoughts and action, after practicing righteousness and living a prayerful life, after teaching others the fear of God and walking in that same fear; after being expectant according to His promises, and after watching their live advanced beyond the age of having children, he was almost ninety-nine years old and Sarah was ninety years old, yet they were still without that promised son. Thank God their help came and that promise was fulfilled. There are things that God had promised you; things you have believed are true and very possible and things you have been working to achieve without succeeding like Abraham and Sarah and you are now humiliated and embarrassed by your inabilities and failures despite these things being what God had promised you and what you have believed and you are well qualified to have them. God will send help to you and all His promises to you in that regard will be fulfilled. In their humiliation and shame, the God who sent help to them, He will send help to you also.

The father of the prodigal son was embarrassed and humiliated because of what his son did and his behavior; he was embarrassed and humiliated because of what people who knew him were saying to him directly and indirectly about his son’s behavior; he was humiliated because his labor for his son did go as expected; he had loved his sons, had done everything to keep them happy and contented and had trained them in the best way he could, giving them all they desired and wanted, yet his son decided to leave his house and the comfort he had enjoyed to live with and follow prostitutes. One thing was certain, even in his humiliation, this man never gave up the expectation that his son will come back, and through God’s help, the son came back. God will help you see your son or daughter return; you will see your children delivered and restored and living a fulfilling life. Your prayers and expectations for them will come true despite what you are seeing; experiencing and what people are saying about them now, God will help you.

Many are pressured and humiliated by parents, spouse, children, friends, colleagues, employers, family members, bosses, pastors, and church members because of their unforeseen circumstances and the things they are experiencing. Some are humiliated because of lack, job, failures, not having a trusted person to marry, humiliated for being unable to have children though they desire same; but even in that humiliation, condemnation and weakness, you will find help, you will overcome, like Hannah, Sarah, Abraham and the father of the prodigal son, you will find and receive help from God. God will take your humiliation away. “Listen carefully, God is about to do a new thing” Isaiah 43:19. For Prayers Click here
