PRAY GOD FOR YOUR RELEASE

“Now it came about in the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, on the twenty-seventh day of the twelfth month, that Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he became king, showed favor to Jehoiachin king of Judah and released him from prison; and he spoke kindly to him and set his throne above the throne of the other kings of captive peoples who were with him in Babylon. Jehoiachin changed his prison clothes for palace garments and he dined regularly in the king’s presence for the remainder of his life; and his allowance, a continual one, was given to him by the king - Evil-Merodach, a portion every day, for the rest of his life.” 2 Kings 25:27-30. After a release comes restoration and then the journey to your destined destiny according to God’s good-will and plans for your life.

For thirty-seven years, Jehoiachin, though he was a king, spent his life and days lucked up and kept in prison. For thirty-seven years, he was constantly monitored, restricted, his movement was curtailed within the prison walls, his freedom was taken from him, and his true desires were never granted; for thirty-seven years, Jehoiachin ate prison food, wore the same prison dress, see and interact with the same group of people and never had any change. But despite the years, the people, the restrictions, the food and the cloths, God had a plan for his life, a plan for his release and a plan for his restoration. I want you to know that when God plans it, He will do it. After thirty-seven years in prison and restriction, God brought in a new king in Babylon, taking out the old king, and the new king showed favor to Jehoiachin and release him from prison, spoke favorable of him, restored to him what was right as a king, give him his kingdom back, and granted him all the provisions needed for the rest of his life.

Jehoiachin was not just release and left to crawl back to life, to begin all over again, or to be asking for help from people, all that was due him was restored to him after the release and made permanent for life. That was not only the decision of Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, that was the handwork of the Almighty God, the favor of the Almighty God, and the mercies He shows to His people who call on Him, who will follow Him and who will be ready to wait until the day He had set in His plans to bring their freedom and release from all forms of captivity. When king Jehoiachin was released after thirty-seven years in prison and in exile, Evil-Merodach king of Babylon showed him favor not judgment and subsequently released him from prison – God will show you favor and men will also show you favor. Evil-Merodach spoke kindly to him, people will begin to speak kindly of you; set Jehoiachin throne above the throne of the other kings of captive peoples who were with him in Babylon – you will be released and set on high above others. Jehoiachin’s prison clothes were changed for palace garments that fit his position, he dined regularly in the king’s presence, his full allowance, not part, a continual one, was given to him, a portion every day, for the rest of his life. When God releases you, the flow of His grace will never be held back for any reason.

You cannot and should not remain a captive prisoner any longer; you should not remain always a captive in the cage of the enemies, you should not remain in the captivity of pains, of fears, of wickedness, of failures, of loneliness, and stagnations forever. Today by God’s grace, we are asking God for our release from all the things, all the situations, and all the adversities that had held us captive, that had held our dreams captive, that had held our blessings captive, that had held our promotion, our health, our jobs, our business, our womb, our marriages, our spouses, our children, and all of our desires captive and prevents us from fulfilling all the promises and mandates of God for our lives. “Until now you have not asked the Father for anything in My name; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy may be full and complete.” John 16:24.
