LORD, I BELIEVE I CAN CHANGE

You can and will change if you will not only desire it but believe it; your situation can change if you will act on God’s words and demand your change from God by asking. Remember our God is always faithful, always merciful, always forgiving, and always willing to bless you. Contrary to his parent's views and understanding of change, while they only desired it, Jabez in his actions actually believed it and demanded it from God. If Jabez did not move beyond a mere desire as his parents did to believe in change, he would not have asked God for it in his prayers and God would not have granted him as he requested. Note the language used in his prayer and that used to express the answer to his prayer in the bible. “Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez saying, I gave birth to him in pain.  Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory, let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain. And God granted his request.” 1 Chronicle 4:9-10. The Scripture in that passage did not say God answered his prayers or granted his desires but said God granted him as he requested. That is, as he believed and said, and what he demanded in his prayer was all granted. Jabez believed in a change, he asked for a change in his prayers, and God granted as he had requested. God wants to do the same for (us) you today, He is calling you to believe it, to act as Jabez did, and He will do for you what He did for Jabez.

The Almighty God can bring your expected change suddenly, the heavens above can declare it openly and suddenly, and the forces on the earth will not be able to resist it. Don’t be afraid to ask God for a change; don’t be afraid to desire it with your whole heart. Believe it with our whole heart, embrace it with your whole mind and body, trust the Almighty God for it, and watch God bring it to pass in your life. You cannot change the world if you cannot change yourself through your thoughts and what you believe. Change must begin with you, in you, and through you before it is seen by others. You become an instrument of change if you will believe in change, accept and follows the precepts of God for change, subject, and submit your own self to the change and what the process requires. Everyone desires a change, but not everyone is willing to be subjected to the requirements that enable change.

God wants us to change spiritually and physically; He wants us to believe in change, He sent Jesus Christ to the world to make change possible and attainable; Jesus Christ came, lay down His life on the cross to make heaven accessible and change possible to everyone who believes in change. Repentance, forgiveness, salvation, prayers, and application of the knowledge God had given in His written word is the process. One of the greatest desire for change is to believe it is possible, personally, believe God and His word can make it happen, take appropriate action in the right direction, and absolutely trust God for it irrespective of the past delays, time or year it will take for it to come because it is very certain, change will definitely come for you.

Change is possible if you believe it, desire it, work for it, and follows the principles that enable it perfectly. Change comes with demands, comes with dedication, and with determination. It comes with a focus and an action. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction; for every force, there is an equal and opposite force; for every right effort, there are numerous opposing efforts, but God can and will take you through all of them until you see the change and became a success. It good to know that Satan will not fold his arms and watch you change for good, he will definitely resist you, fight you, insult you, humiliate you, frustrate you and he will try all his very best to hold you back in ways you have and can never imagine. But God in His love and power will not let Satan succeed over you. This was the result of Jesus temptation: “Then His fame went throughout all Syria, they brought all sick who were afflicted with diseases, torments, and those demon-possessed, epileptics, paralytics, and He healed them.” Matthew 4:24.
