HOW LONG OH LORD?

Post date: Feb 24, 2014 5:01:08 AM

As long as we have life, and saved from the works of and powers of darkness, as long as we are committed to follow the ethics of Jesus Christ as bible believing Christian, as long as we have decided to allow the glory of the Lord God Almighty to shine through us, as long as we remain the true salt from heaven, there will be many questions to ask every day in everything in every location, in every language, in every race and in every situation.

Though your question may grow bigger and bigger every day depending on the situation; though confusion may set in and seek to take you over; though you may be feeling very inadequate in many ways and unprepared for things that are happening around you, though there seem to be no way out for you from the present situation, God is still committed to being with you, to guiding you and to blessing you the way He had said and promised.

God will never relent on any of His words and on any of His many promises to you in any way despite the prevailing situations and the questions you are asking or are being asked every day by people around you; the Lord God Almighty is always there with you, He is there for you and He will never depart from you despite the questions and the suggestions from people. Though God is not obliged to answer every question from you, He had promised to bless you and He will stand His promises as long as He keeps you alive

The cries of the righteous will never go unanswered even when it takes too long for the positive results to begin manifesting themselves. David did ask the same question, yet God established him on the throne he was destined to occupy. “How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me? Consider and hear me, O Lord my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep of death; Lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him; Lest those who trouble me rejoice when I am moved. But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.” Psalm 13:1-6. That same God will do your own.

Noah asked the same question in his heart after many days in the ark and floating on top of the elevated waters from the rain. He sent doves out to see if it was all over and at the end, God spoke to him to come out and inherit the fruit of his obedience. Despite the questions you may ask and that which people will ask you, they Lord God all Almighty will keep you save and also preserve you until you begin seeing and reaping the fruit of your desire to follow Christ Jesus as your Lord. You will not wait in vain.

You are not alone asking such question, there have been many before you and God did not leave them in that question indefinitely. He showed up with amazing answer, He will do the same with and for you. Abraham and Sarah, Noah and the apostles asked that same question, Job asked the same question. Despite their questions and pains, thy all ended every well and I have no doubt in my mind that you will end well also. This how Job ended:

“And the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys. He had also seven sons and three daughters. And he called the name of the first Jemimah, and the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-happuch. And in all the land there were no women so fair as the daughters of Job, and their father gave them inheritance among their brothers. After this, Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons and his sons’ sons, even to four generations. So Job died, an old man and full of days.” Job 42:12-17. For prayers, Click here
