PEOPLE CAME TO SEE LAZURUS ALSO

“Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him.” John 12:1; 9-11

In everything that Christ Jesus is actively involved with, it will surely end in glory despite what the devil will ever do to it and to you; God will never start anything with you and through you and allow it and you to end in sorrow; you will never enter into any form of active relationship with the Almighty God and end in sorrow also. When God allows anything to happen to any of His children who loves and walks with Him daily, He has a good thing He intend to bring out of it, and He has a better ending for it and for the person.

The feelings of people, the words of men and their actions will never prevent God from doing His will when you, who is directly involved in such a project fully gives Him the cooperation He needs and deserves in your life and in such activities. God will not keep you alive if He intends not to bless your life and show His glory to the world through you and through the activities He had permitted you to begin.

Mary Magdalene, Martha her sister, and Lazarus her brother maintained an active relationship with God in many ways and Christ did show them great favor. Yet in His love, Christ allowed Lazarus to be sick and thereafter died when his sisters least expected, and after waiting for two days after He was informed of his sickness and death, Christ went visiting just as others also were going to visit; He did not go to console them as others; He did not go to cry with the family as others; He did not go to mourn as others, and He did not go to blame anyone, He went to show them the divine love of God and the powers of His glory as they trusted in Him.

All that Christ Jesus demanded on that day of His visit was not a secluded place to sit and talk with them but for them to show Him where Lazarus was buried. On getting to the place, Christ demanded that they take the stone that was placed on the entrance to be removed; after that, He demanded obedience to His instructions and not arguments and reasons to disobey no matter how cogent and logical the reasons may be; He demanded the exercise of faith and not that of fear; He demanded standing on His words alone and not on personal feelings and the words of people around; He demanded absolute attention to His words and not any form of distraction.

God want to lead you and not you leading Him; He want your obedience and not your disobedience; He want your corporation not your best argument and logical reasoning. God will not allow you to lead Him in any way. All that He desires from you is your obedience, and faith. For God to manifest Himself, you must have to follow His instructions despite the reasons you may have. Remember, as obedience was better than sacrifice to Saul, so is it for us also today as we walk with the Lord.

When Mary finally followed the instructions, right that moment and in that same location, Christ Jesus called Lazarus back to life in the very presence of the people who had come to console, cry and mourn with them. That same God will, and can change your life, your situation and every other thing around you as you decide to walk with obedience. There is nothing too hard for Him to do in, for, and through us as we believe and stay close to Him always. When God finishes with you, I know He will, as it was with Lazarus, people went out to see Lazarus and many believed in Christ through that miracle. God will also do yours and will take you up and high for others to see and praise His name. This will be yours. For prayers, Click here
