SPEAK YOUR HEART

As we walk each day to achieve and to put in place our dreams and desires according to the plans and purposes of God for us, one thing will be very important to keep doing each day irrespective of the situation, speak what your heart believes about yourself and not what your ears hear or your eyes sees about yourself. Do not deprive your mouth from speaking what is in your heart always, what your heart desires and what God had promised you. God will never promise anyone failure, disappointment, frustration or denial. His promises are pure success and I am convinced, they will all come to pass in your life. Despite the experiences you will ever have in life, despite your feelings and the actions of men or the economy, speak what you believe, not what you assume. Let your mouth always speak the promises of God which you hold dear through your heart desires, not the disappointments of men and the frustrations and pains of the system.

Our Lord Jesus Christ was confronted with very tough questions by some people who were bent on accusing Him falsely irrespective of what He will do or say to them and to kill Him thereafter. Please note that you will never be able to satisfy everybody in life no matter what you do or say to them. But when God is satisfy with your words and actions, nothing that any one will do against you will be effective. “Then the Jews retorted, what sign can You show us, seeing You do these things? What sign, miracle, token, indication can You give us as evidence that You have authority and are commissioned to act in this way? Jesus answered them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again. Then the Jews replied, It took forty-six years to build this temple (sanctuary), and will You raise it up in three days?  But He had spoken of the temple which was His body.” John 2:18-21

In answering the questions, He did not speak or act the way they expected, but He did speak of one of the several promises He has heard from the Father, which He did believe is true and acceptable in His heart. He told them that which was only possible through the God who made all things in the entire universe. He told them point blank that they will never accept what He will say or do, and that they can do what they want, but God will restore Him thereafter.

The responsibility of speaking the promises of God in every situation every day is in your hands and not in the hands of other people or in the hands of your enemies. As you desire to see the promises of God fulfilled and as you work hard every day, desire also to remind yourself of the promises of God for your life each day; store them in your heart and speak them boldly to yourself first, and then to anyone else who may wish to listen to you. Do not allow temporal situations in life to deprive you of the joy that is in the eternal promises of God for your life. David said in Psalms 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my [firm, impenetrable] Rock and my Redeemer.” You can do that also beloved of Christ Jesus. Irrespective of the situation you are going through in life; always speak to yourself, the unfailing promises of God. That will light up your life and will surely make a path for your feet each day. Let nothing hold your mouth back from blessing yourself. You were born to inherit a blessed promise through the victory of Christ Jesus at the cross. Stand up and speak well for yourself.

“But what does it say? The Word (God’s message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach. Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.” Romans 10:8-10.
