“I HAVE DONE ALL, PLEASE STEP IN NOW DEAR FATHER”

“The next day, after they had come down the mountain, a large crowd met Jesus. A man in the crowd called out to him, Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, my only child. An evil spirit keeps seizing him, making him scream. It throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It batters him and hardly ever leaves him alone. I begged your disciples to cast out the spirit, but they couldn’t do it. Jesus said, you faithless and corrupt people, how long must I be with you and put up with you? Then he said to the man, bring your son here. As the boy came forward, the demon knocked him to the ground and threw him into a violent convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the evil spirit and healed the boy. Then he gave him back to his father. Awe gripped the people as they saw this majestic display of God’s power.” Luke 9:37-43. Will you stop blaming yourself or someone else and completely surrender that situation to Jesus Christ and invite Him to come and help you? If no one knows, sees, feels and understands what you are going through in life daily, I am very convinced that Jesus Christ our Lord and savior knows them all, He sees them all, He feels for you better than anyone will ever do, and He has perfect understanding of the situation you are in right now. Irrespective of the level of their operation in your life; irrespective of their names and authority and position; irrespective of their physical or spiritual domain, irrespective of the open and covered actions against you, because Jesus Christ knows them all, because Jesus Christ see them all; because Jesus Christ feels your pains, because Jesus Christ understands your plights, He is able to deliver you, He is able to rescue you, He is able to defend you, He is able to heal you, and He is able to restore you and keep you far better than you had ever been before since you were born. Blaming yourself and blaming everyone else will not take the mountain off and break the yoke of affliction forever. Jesus Christ wants to help you, He wants to heal you, He wants to restore you, He wants to wipe away your tears, He wants to restore your value and your dignity, and He wants to keep you safe, useful and progressing. “So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” John 8:36. And He can and wants to do just that in you.

Just as the father of the boy in the passage above; you have done all you ever knew and could in life; you have surrendered all you ever had and have; you have prayed and fasted and waited to the best of your ability; you have humbled yourself before God and man; you have offered all the sacrifices you know and could; you have prayed in the night and in the day; you have meditated on the scriptures of hope and promises of Christ Jesus; you have searched all the examples in the scriptures and applied them in your case; you have been and you are an active member of the church and household of faith; you have taken your situations to the disciples and apostles and pastors you know and sort for the ones you do not know; you have had an open mind and active in the things of God, yet the situation refuses to change or go away as expected, now, it is time to do what the father of that boy did and to say what he said when He saw Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ did not look the other side or refuse to pay attention, He said father, “Bring your son here.”

Did you know the opinions of men about your situation does not matter when that situation is brought before Jesus Christ in submission and humility? Did you know just as the father of that boy, you have only one life to live on earth and you can live it either the way Satan wants or the way God wants? The opinions of men will always differ from God’s opinion about you. He said “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11. The joy of knowing God by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior is that you can call on Him in boldness and with confidence; depend on Him with confidence; look on to Him with assurance; overcome all past situations; stand up again after a fall; be fully restored after shame and humiliation; justified despite condemnations; you can be vindicated and set completely free.
