"BECAUSE THE ALMIGHTY GOD IS INVOLVED (II)"

Like every one of us but in diverse ways with diverse issues in life; Job had a mixture of things that confronted and tested and tried him personally, his family and his business; he struggled and was able to keep himself pure and relevant before God, keep his children sinless before God and protect his business from collapse. The best part of Job’s life was his strong faith in God even in type of adversities he experienced; his living hope even in a hopeless situation; his courage at a discouraging moment; his ability to handle the stressful moment with his three remaining friends who came to force him to admit being guilty, and his expectations of the future even when he had no prophecy, no dream, and no insight into what God was doing and will do in his life. This is the true story of Jobs good ending despite a bad beginning because God was involved. “The Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. Then all his brothers and sisters and all who had known him before came to him, and they ate bread with him in his house, and they consoled him and comforted him over all the distressing adversities that the Lord had brought on him. And each one gave him a piece of money, and each a ring of gold. And the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys. He had seven sons and three daughters. And he called the name of the first daughter Jemimah, and the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-happuch. In all the land there were found no women so fair as the daughters of Job, and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers. After this, Job lived 140 years and saw his sons and his grandsons, four generations. So Job died an old man and full of days,” Job 1:10-17

Job lived to see better things better moments and had fun with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Is that not what alone can do? When the Almighty God is involved, things may turn upside down and tumble over in ways you never imagined; but He will fix it again and give you the grace for a better and profound experience. The worst part of Job’s was the way his many troubles came and how they began. “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. The Lord said to Satan, from where have you come? Then Satan answered the Lord, from roaming around on the earth and from walking around on it. The Lord said to Satan, have you considered and reflected on My servant Job? For there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God with reverence and abstains from and turns away from evil because he honors God. Then Satan answered the Lord, does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not put a hedge of protection around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands and conferred prosperity and happiness upon him, and his possessions have increased in the land. But put forth Your hand now and touch destroy all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face.” Job 1:6-11. Fortunately, Job did not do what Satan wanted.

The interesting part is what God said to Satan before he began his wickedness against Job “Then the Lord said to Satan, behold, all that Job has is in your power, only do not put your hand on the man himself, so Satan departed from the presence of the Lord.” Job 1:12. Because God knew He will definitely help Job all through the time; knew He will not depart from him even when Satan was actively against him and everything that concerns him; God knew before it all happened that He will definitely restore Job, and He will raise him up seven times better than He had ever been before. Isn’t it interesting what God will do when we hold on to Him in all situations? Did you know God is defending you and will definitely restore you and make you far better? The present things cannot be compared to what He will do. Focus on Him and not on the situation. When He is involved, things will straighten up even seven-fold better. For Prayers Click here
