DON’T QUIT YOUR GOALS

If there is anyone who should ever quit in life and in all human endeavors, it should be the man Moses. Considering the circumstances of his birth, at a every trying times in Egypt for the people of Israel and his parents, the miraculous rescue due to his parents determination of faith in the God they serve and trusted, the privilege of being raise up for forty years as a prince despite the odds at birth, the fear of being killed after an incident, and the aimless wondering in the wilderness with his masters sheep for forty years. Each of these things were strong enough to give the impression that he will never succeed in life despite all efforts, but through his strong belief and absolute trust in the living and Almighty God, coupled with a strong determination despite his past and present labor, he lived to prove to everyone living today that obstacles will ever exist in every one’s life but they are no hindrance to your being a success in life.

Success does not depend on your past or present visions or dreams, but it depends on what you do with those visions and dreams, your determination to beat the odds like Moses did, (everyone have at least one), to keep pushing on beyond you past (pleasant or ugly) Moses did, sacrificing what you need to sacrifice, and how you view what you do. If you are mean to yourself and others by what you do, you will be mean to what you produce out of your action. If your values in life are not right, your output in life will not be right also.

Through determination, Moses never looked down on himself in all circumstances even when he failed, when he complained to God, when he was resisted by the same people he was sent to rescue despite being armed with a true word from God. He never gave up or feel frustrated going up to pharaoh ten times with the same message in different occasions. We need to keep on with the word of God despite the oppositions we will experience. God has no business telling anyone a lie. His words to you, whether in the dark of the night or in the light of the day will surely come to pass irrespective of the forces of opposition.

We must not trust in the oppositions we face each day, but absolutely trust in the God we serve, who also gave us those visions and the dreams. When we give up on your dreams and visions because of oppositions, frustrations and lack of cooperation by men, we indirectly show our trust in the power of the opposition rather than our trust in the power of our God.

Quitting on God’s mandate for your life will never give you peace, or success but bad memories, anger, frustration and weakness. The only permissible thing to quit in life is sin of any type, big and small, that will guarantee your peace and readiness to push ahead and achieve succeed in the areas God had destined for you.

The devil derives no joy toying with you in anything concerning your life and future. He is very furious and determined in his works to keep you from going forward despite your visions and dreams in life. You cannot beat him by fighting alone, unfortunately, the assistance from parents, relative, family, friends and colleagues will only take you to the level you will have to stand up and take responsibility yourself, and this is because they are as vulnerable as yourself in the battle against the devil. The only companion that will give the needed victory is Christ Jesus.

Moses refused to quit but said, I will turn around and look, “Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I” Exodus 3:1-4
