"IN THEIR DOUBTS, NOAH SUCCEEDED WITH GOD"

Believe and follow the words of God. He had called you to be His own through repentance and salvation; washed you with the blood of Jesus Christ and justified you for better days; destined you for His glory on earth and beyond; promised to keep, defend and establish you; promised to lift you when you fall and to make a success; promised to make you different and promised to be your God and your guide. What Noah did was to remain faithful to His God; to believe and trust His God despite the doubts of the people. Your obedience to God’s words is more rewarding to you than the doubts of the people. The reasons people will doubt you are that you have decided to break away from the norms they believe and hold as what is absolutely right and true according to their thoughts, understanding of the status quo, and imaginations to follow what God says is true and right for you and for all humanity. Light and darkness cannot share a common place. Through repentance and salvation, Jesus Christ called you the light on a beacon and the salt on earth and that is what you are and not even their doubts will change that. They will doubt you because you want to experience a difference in your life, a difference in the way you reason, a difference in the way you speak and what you say, a difference in the way to relate and in what you believe. They will doubt you because you have refused to speak the way they admire and accept; they will doubt you because your thinking is now different and your view is also different. They will doubt you because you no longer look like them, remain like them, act like them and react like them. But their doubt is not a hindrance to what God had said, what God will do and what you will become in Christ.

When Noah came out to announce the intent of God concerning humanity in his time due to their activities, they did not take him seriously; many doubted his words while many condemned him; many doubted his ways of life and his righteousness with God; many called him hypocrite; they doubted his truthfulness and ability to hear from God and to warn them of the coming flood and dead of all flesh. They doubted his truthfulness and sincerity. When he began building the ark in obedience to God, many doubted the strength of the ark and its usefulness to him; many doubted it will ever rain talk less of destroying humanity; many said God cannot do that since He is God of love and mercy; many doubted fulfillment of the words of Noah in their time, but despite their doubts and actions, despite the names they called him and the shame he received, Noah never gave up believing God, obeying God, trusting God, seeking God and remaining in His good books through his actions.

“Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. This is how you are to build it: the ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high. Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit high all around. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks. I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark, you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you. You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive. You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them. Noah did everything just as God commanded him.” Genesis 6:11-22. For Prayers Click here
