YOU AND RELATIONSHIPS

God expects every human being to be in one relationship or the other with people as we walk the earth doing what He want if we want to succeed in His will and fulfill His plans for our lives. As Christian, we must desire to make the relationship right knowing that the price had been paid for us to succeed and be fruitful in all of our relationships. The price that was paid for our salvation was also meant for our physical and spiritual wellbeing and success in our relationships and in our lives, we were not saved to remain failures, fruitless, sad, lonely, confused, worried, and frustrated and discouraged forever. We were saved to have a right relationship with God and with man through the continuous regeneration of our hearts, thoughts, words, actions through the working of the Holy Spirit of God in our lives daily. God had desired and designed a way to have a relationship that guarantees our hope in Him and our joy on earth. Irrespective of who we are and will ever be, irrespective of the level of God’s anointing on us, irrespective of our wealth, profession, location, age, language and gender, the kind of relationship we have and maintain can affect us and everything about us. We can either go up or go down in life through the kind of relationship we have now and seek to maintain.

Though God first instituted relationship between Himself and the man He made, the devil sort to take over the main intent of what God had done and turn it into something that he can manipulate and use for his evil purpose and selfish benefits. Certainly, there are heavenly made relationships and there are man-made and satanic relationships. These two are out there for the entire world to see the difference and judge for themselves which one to follow or reject, but despite our best intent and the soundness of our judgment and vast wisdom and examples around us, without God directing and controlling our steps daily and transforming our hearts with the power of His Holy Spirit through His words daily, we will definite make mistakes and will never be able to know which relationship is right and which is wrong to engage ourselves with. When God who is the initiator of the right relationships is absent in the heart and thoughts and when self is in making all the decisions, irrespective of our knowledge, our foresight and our best efforts in life, the devil who is a master trickster will definitely have His ways and give us a hell of things to worry about thereafter instead of the peace and joy that God intended for us in relationships.

The right relationship does not mean we will be right always but because we are open to God’s kind of love, God’s kind of patience, God’s kind of tolerance, Christ kind of submission, Christ kind of obedience, Christ kind of faithfulness, God will see us through in the relationships that we are engaged in on earth. There are relationships that are abusive, dehumanizing, insulting, promote anger, wickedness and pave ways for evil thoughts and actions, but if God is in you, He will be with you in and for you through that relationship, He will help you with the outpouring of His grace upon your live. The result of our physical relationship with men is dependent on our spiritual relationship with God. For us to have a right relationship with men, we must first have a right relationship with God in all things; that will be the beginning of our success story on earth. This is the result of the right relationship that Christ our Lord had with the Father: “After He was found in terms of His outward appearance as a man for a divinely-appointed time, He humbled Himself still further by becoming obedient to the Father to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also because He obeyed and so completely humbled Himself, God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name.” Philippians 2:5-9. God expects us to have a right relationship in our spiritual journey with others, to have a right relationship in our respective businesses, marriage, jobs, neighborhood, and family and in everything we do. Not everyone is having it right, not everyone is benefiting; not everyone is happy and not everyone is comfortable, but God can change all things. For prayers Click here
