WHEN GOD STARTS THE BATTLE

The blood of Jesus Christ tested and proven to be true and capable of delivering and protecting His people from all dangers and captivities. In order to let the children of Israel go, God had to break the hearts and strength of Pharaoh and his men by sending ten different plagues to force their compliance with His commands and desire. 1. Water turned to blood, 2. Frogs everywhere, 3. Lice or gnats on everyone, 4, Flies, 5. Death of livestock, 6. Boils, 7. Hail, 8. Locust, 9. Darkness, and 10. Death of all firstborn. The amazing thing was that these ten plagues happened within the territory where the Egyptians live and their household while nothing happens within the dwellings of the children of Israel. God completely protected them, defended them and kept them safe from all the plagues. That was a proof of God’s special love for His children and that same love is still available today for all those who believe, accepted and follows Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior. When men refuse as Pharaoh did, God will not turn back on His promises or from His people, He will act decisively and purposely so that men may know and praise Him.

The children of Israel did not leave Egypt without seeing firsthand the power of God, the Love of God for them in the display, the protection of God, the willingness of God to set them free, and the ability of God do what He had promised in an unimaginable way. Pharaoh’s refusal to obey the commands of God through Moses brought down the power of the Almighty God, proves that the power of God is active, effective and true; proves that God will not turn His back on His words and promises; shows that no magician can match Him, and shows His willingness and ability to deliver His Children who are in any form of captivity. The ten plagues were not random, they were strategic and purposeful. God targeted the Egyptians gods to prove that there is no god like Him; to prove that He alone is the Almighty and true God; to prove that no other god can save or deliver or defend, and to prove that He will abandon any who believes and follows Him.

The children of Israel did not leave Egypt as fools, they did not leave empty-handed, they did not leave humiliated or with shame. They left joyfully forgetting their past sorrows and sadness, their past humiliations and hard labor, their past slavery and chains, their past daily encounters with the taskmasters. They left triumphantly as victors in the battle because of their God who was far bigger their god’s including Pharoh himself; they left with high hopes and assurance because their God was with them; they left with expectations that they will never be in bondage again and they left because their God fought for them.

You may have been humiliated and shamefully treated by these Pharaoh’s but you will not leave with that humiliation or shame, you will leave victoriously. You will not leave empty-handed as God will cause the reward of all the years you have labored to be given to you in one day and it will come. You will not leave in sadness because God will turn your sorrows and pains into joy such that you will not remember the past pains again because of the hope and assurance that is in the future that God is leading you to. Irrespective of the Pharaoh had done against you in any form, God is bringing a reversal, He is restoring whatever had been stolen or taken by force, He is restoring what you lost by mistake or evil means, he is breaking the chains, the yoke, the evil memories and the powers of sadness over you. God said He will defeat that Pharaoh, I believe He will and I know He would. “I will make Pharaoh brave, and he will chase you. But I will defeat Pharaoh and his army. This will bring honor to me. Then the people of Egypt will know that I am the Lord. So the Israelites did what he told them. But Moses answered, don’t be afraid, don’t run away, stand where you are and watch the Lord save you today. You will never see these Egyptians again. You will not have to do anything but stay calm. The Lord will do the fighting for you.” Exodus 14:4, 13-14. When God is the battle and He will win; He will give you the victory and nothing else. God is fighting your battle. For prayer Click here
